I am thrilled with Mozart and how far he has come after his 2 foot surgeries in 2021. He has a heart of gold and never wants to stop trying. I could not have gotten to this point without my wonderful and supportive husband, Sabrina, and of course Dr. Lesser from Rood and Riddle and farrier Jeremy Mckenzie. Also to Fleur Bryan and the amazing Parkmore Supplements.

After winning the I2 on Friday with Mozart at Waterloo, Saturdays ride ended up in a withdrawal due to Mozart being very tense and explosive. I felt it was safer to just stop. Better next time.

My goal for the weekend was to ride Deeks in half of my arena. Not only did we achieve that today, but I was also able to do rising trot and change rein at the trot. This is huge for a horse that has been terrified and very cold backed. Time and patience has paid off

Deeks and I are making progress. I have taken my time with him getting him to trust me and relax. It is finally starting to pay off. You can never rush this stage.

Exciting new things coming to the farm. I may be small, but I am mighty. Horses receive only the best. New solarium coming next week for wash stall and a new round pen is going in. If you are interested in hearing more about the solarium, PM me and I will have Scott get you all the info.

We have spent the winter gaining Deeks trust. It is slowly paying off. We trotted around a bit today off the lunge line. This is a horse that did not have a good beginning and could be unpredictable under saddle, but we are getting there. All good things come with time and patience

Bel Esprit, The top photo is from when he came at the end of October. Bottom photo was a week ago. Ulcer treatment, parkmore supplements, 24 hour turnout, and lunging 2 to 3 times a week. What a difference.

Stay tuned. Follow my journey of developing my next project horse. Meet Bel Esprit aka Deeks. He is a 7 yr old Trakehner by Schiffon, same sire as Sherman. As with all horses that come in, he went on ulcer treatment, chiropractor adjustment, farrier work, and a detox with Parkmore supplements.
