For the past 6-7 years, I have tried everything I know to try to get the Parish Council to consider the plight of combat veterans, PTSD sufferers and pet owners in regards to the unfettered, unregulated and absurd use of fireworks. It's not a lot to ask that some level of regulation regarding the size of ordinance allowed, the times and duration they are allowed as well as the location.

Sorry, there's no other way to say this -

They don't give a s**t

I guess it'll take some poor veteran gets pushed over the edge by the thunderous boom of a huge mortar round shaking the window panes and vibrating their sternum to get them to give it any consideration. They certainly don't give a damn about the hundreds of pets that are traumatizedm run away and disappear every 4th of July and New Years.
