Noah's Bark Dog Rescue We help homeless pets find their furever homes. Serving the South Bay of Los Angeles County, CA. We are an all breed rescue.

Noah's Bark is committed to finding permanent and happy homes for the unwanted and homeless pets in our community. Noah's Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit pet rescue organization based in the Los Angeles South Bay area. Some dogs come to us as strays, but the majority come from LA area shelters, all of which are HIGH KILL shelters. We often rescue the most broken and pitiful dogs from

these shelters, the ones that would have little to no chance of being adopted by the public. We give these dogs a second chance at a new and loving life. Noah’s Bark was founded in 1997 by Lila Hemmingway. It is now run by Shelly Gomez, a dedicated animal advocate. Shelly was there in the beginning with Lila when the organization was first founded. We rescue and rehome approximately 300 pets each year. Our organization does not have a shelter where all of the rescues are centrally housed. Dedicated volunteers provide foster homes while our rescues await their forever homes. Miss Chiquita Banana is wiggling her happy butt into the New Year like she knows it’s about to be the best year ever!! Btw, she is single and ready to mingle (she is still looking for her forever home).

PS. She is like a different dog since she had her eye removed and is no longer in constant pain. Her whole personality came to life! She is a silly, happy, wiggly butt and just honestly loves everyone she meets! This is all thanks to you guys, our NB fam! We could not have done this without your support!! Badger loves his foster sister, Charlie. His favorite place to snuggle is right next to her! Actually, Badger loves all dogs. He is ready for adoption and is looking for a doggie best friend to share his life with! Badger is a great little cat. He is 8 months old and loves everyone, people, cats and especially dogs! We have had Badger since he was born basically, he was just a few hours old when we rescued him. He and his siblings (the Forest Friends litter, we have Badger, Wolf and Moose left) have only known the good life and are all very well adjusted little boys! I caught Miss Chiquita Banana telling Mr. Snowman her Christmas wishes! She said they were a secret but I convinced her to share them with all of us! Miss Chiquita Banana is all smiles. This girl always smiles. Sure, it's almost Hanukkah and Christmas and she doesn't have a home of her own, but she knows the perfect one is out there for her. And she is more than ready for the moment when her soon-to-be-person realizes it!

Chiquita is a sweet, social, quiet gal (except when she gets really excited and makes the cutest space alien gremlin noises!). She rarely barks, loves to sit next to you and take a few wallks. She is potty trained, rides great in the car, and loves a tennis ball. She's the real deal and ready to be devoted to her new person. Is that you!?

Our Forest Friends Brothers (l-r, Wolf, Badger and Moose) are growing up guys! And sadly, these 3 handsome dudes are still looking for their forever home(s). They get along great with each other and other cats and dogs too! They love people and are just all around amazing kitties! Their foster did a great job socializing them and turning them into feline good citizens! Wolf, Badger and Moose just want their Christmas wishes to come true…they want Santa to bring them a family to call their own. They are fine getting adopted together, in pairs or even separately. This sweet girl has had quite a journey. Rescued in Florida, Polly moved to Arizona to bring love and companionship to an elderly man and his pit bull, Pearl. After his passing in October, Polly made her way to Los Angeles and is now looking for her forever home! 💕

Guess who was medically cleared and is ready for adoption? That’s right! Miss Chiquita Banana!! She is single and ready to mingle!
Chiquita is a Boston Terrier and is about 6-7 years old. She is quite the character, as I’m sure most Boston’s are! She loves to snuggle and she tries to play with tennis balls, but the regular size ones just don’t fit in her mouth quite so easily! But she is persistent and will eventually figure it out and carry it around for a few seconds! lol! So the mini tennis balls are a must in her new home! She is housebroken and crate trained. She is fine with other dogs but would prefer to be the only royalty in the house. A cat peasant would probably be ok though. She’s a good travel buddy and walks well on leash. She just wants to be your best friend and follow you around and sleep in whatever room you are in! Oh and one more thing! She is a fashionista and loves to wear clothes! Our little fluff ball, Fozzie Bear, is available for adoption! He is super cute, but he is also super puppy! Active, inquisitive, destructive, mouthy, and not potty-trained, to name a few of his puppy traits.

Fozzie will likely be around 20 lbs full grown. That's our best guess, no guarantees. He will also require constant grooming and haircuts.
