Last 2 days we did almost 60 surgeries and medicated hundreds of dogs. A few more horse castrations, pigs, cats and a couple rabbits too! We got everything inventories and packed back up for the group that comes in June.

Back to work! We did almost 30 small animal surgeries, mostly dog spays. I had 2 pyometras and one really challenging mass removal that wanted to bleed a lot. The weather was great, around 80° with a gentle breeze. We are exhausted though and I REALLY need a shower.

Just got back to civilization after spending the last 2 days in the country vaccinating/deworming cattle, castrating a couple horses and a 300+lb boar! Also did around 20 small animal spays and neuters. It has been fun training vet students who have very little (if any) experience in a primitive setting. Good medicine is doing the best you can with what you have! We are loving on the people with beads, games, coloring and the guys REALLY love all the baseball equipment that was brought!

Off to share the love of God through veterinary medicine! Landed in Managua, Nicaragua and got settled in and prepared to head to the country for some large animal work. Not able to communicate until we get back tomorrow night!

Thank you all so much for contributing to the mission trip! I plan to purchase suture, anesthetic drugs and surgical supplies and will leave Jan. 2nd. Stay tuned for some tropical pictures in a couple weeks!

We have a blind and deaf older cocker that was found walking in circles out by the trailer park off Tuttle Creek. Microchip present but not registered. If you know this sweet baby, help us get her home!
