You guys!! I am back at work and I have never been SO HAPPY!!! 🥹🥹🥹 My new power system is nothing short of phenomenal. And boy am I ready for a few things to go my way for once!!

That being said; even with most of my 6 weeks and less clients skipping to your next one, I still have 27 of you that I missed entirely. 😩😩 I am doing my best to work you back in where I can. In another month I hope to be back to normal with all of this behind us!

Thanks for being on this journey with me, your patience and understanding while we’ve all waited, and your willingness to let me love your dogs. I can’t wait to see you!! 😘😘

The van still resides in the service bay at the dealership. 😭😭 I go every couple days to check on my new power system, and she’s holding up like a champ. 😍😍 I get excited every time I turn everything on and it works like a dream. 😹😹 It’s terrifying to have spent as much money on the upgrade as I did, and then feel like I have no control over what happens next. 😔😔 But it’s going to be fine; I will figure out a way to make it all work. 💪🏻💪🏻 Keep hanging in there with me for ‘a couple more days’ when I hopefully have her back in action! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

⬆️👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨Update!! 🆙👩‍❤️‍👨

The van is currently listed as ‘non driveable’ as it sits in the Ford Dealership awaiting replacement parts. I do not have a definitive timeline of when I get her back. ‘By the end of the week’ is what I’ve been told so it’s what I’m aiming for. I asked if I could drive to get the new parts to make for a quicker turnaround, but that wasn’t an option. So I wait; knowing I have done everything in my power to get back to work but this is the way the cards have shuffled for me this round(and seemingly every hand I’m ever dealt😂🤦🏼‍♀️).

My plan for now? This week I have rented space Pawleashed by Haley again, and any of you are welcome to text me and we can work out a day/time for you to bring me your dogs. If I have missed you at any increment less than 6 weeks I believe it is in our best interest to wait until our next scheduled appointment. Obviously if I can get to you sooner, I will let you know. But I’m currently working about 7 weeks behind and 8 weeks are my longest maintenance plans. As you can tell, that leaves me with little option on how to proceed.

Of the 94 appointments during my first round out, there were 38 of you that I could not accommodate. That does not include these last 2 weeks of July 30th - August 8th and I don’t want to calculate it because I’ll probably cry. So, if you’re still wanting the mobile grooming I(sometimes) offer I need a little more patience from you because I can’t plan a new schedule without a start date.

If this breakdown has left a sour taste in your mouths, I can offer you the different recommendations of PetSmart, Bark Avenue, and Hupe Groomer that I have seen advertising immediate openings on their books. I am sorry to those of you that I have let down, and those that I have to continue to do so with. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, no one is more disappointed in this turn of events than I am. I am doing the best I can with what I have, and that has to be enough right now.

✌🏻 Steps Forward ☝🏻Step Back

I arrived back in Manhattan last night around 10pm! My intent was to hit the ground running today as my new battery system is nothing short of AMAZING. 🤗🤗🤗 Terre Haute, Indiana was full of beautiful murals and lovely people. I had an appointment at a local shop in town to get my brakes replaced before we got on the road for the 10 hour drive home. The owners were fantastic, and I spent a few hours in the waiting room with their Schnauzer sleeping on his bed in his office. 🥰 Unfortunately, when I got home we noticed they must have missed a step on the reassembly of the parts they worked on and I leaked what I think is gear fluid all the way home. 😫😫😫 It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s fine. 😹😹😹 The van goes in tomorrow morning at 8:30am to Max Motors to see what exactly we’re dealing with.

I learned a long time ago that being a Mobile Groomer is not for the faint of heart. Things WILL be okay and I cannot panic about the things I cannot control. I know that I am doing the best I can and I have to trust the process with the confidence that, on my end, I’m doing what I’m supposed to. Somewhere around O’Fallon, Missouri we passed a very unique vehicle that most of you know is a topic near and dear to my heart. I don’t know much about this custom bus yet(I’ve been on the phone with mechanics all morning), but I know that ‘It’s okay to not be okay.’ Looks like I’ll have some time today to find out more about this particular groups mission and see if I can be of help to their cause.

So, now you’re up to speed on this episode of what I’m going to call ‘A day in the life of Fallon.’ Once this new issue is remedied I will have a better idea of when it is I can come see all of your dogs that I’ve missed terribly. Thank you, again, for all of your patience and understanding as I strive to get back to normal.

The van was loaded up with all the supplies to turn me into a clean power system, I grabbed a friend and we drove across a few bridges and into Indiana. I’ve eaten my first Scotch Egg and had the best(non photographed) coffee of my life at a lovely family owned cafe called Ladybird. The van still has to complete two more appointment settings and I hope to be home late Wednesday night with my new and improved set up!
