Pheasants Forever was born on this date in 1982!
Today, we celebrate 42 years of conservation successes and want to THANK all our members, volunteers, partners, and donors.
This year, we hit a record number of 158,000 members, improved or restored 2.37 million acres in FY2024 across the pheasant, quail, and prairie grouse ranges, expanded access on 446,000 acres through walk-in access programs, increased our acres of permanently protected habitat open to public hunting to 236,311 acres (historical), hired PF’s first-ever dedicated state policy manager so we can be more effective closer to home, and have worked tirelessly to ensure upland policy priorities are included in the next Farm Bill.
Across the pheasant range, it’s imperative we plant and nurture the seeds for the roots of a better future. A future where we conserve America’s cherished uplands and work together to restore the critical grassland habitat lost.
This is the vision of our future, this is what “building forever” looks like, and this is what drives Pheasants Forever’s work into the future.
