We share images of stray animals to facilitate their reunion with their owners. To reclaim a pet, owners must provide proof of ownership. Reclaims are possible seven days a week, with walk-ins accepted from 9am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday, & 1pm to 5pm on Sunday. Appointments outside regular hours, including Sunday mornings, can be arranged by coordinating with shelter staff via phone or email. 🇺🇸🎆 Happy 4th of July! 🎆🇺🇸

Just a reminder that we will be closed to the public today, July 4th, and tomorrow, July 5th. We’ll be back to our regular hours on Monday, July 7th—ready to help you find your new best friend!

With all the fireworks celebrations happening, please remember to keep your pets safe and secure indoors. Loud noises can be very stressful for animals, so be sure they have a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

When we reopen on Monday, we’d love for you to stop by and meet some of our amazing adoptable pets—like Bongo the playful pup and Maui the sweet and snuggly cat who are both hoping to find their forever homes.

If you need to reach us while we’re closed, feel free to leave a voicemail or send an email, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

A big shoutout to the incredible team effort that made our first dedicated TNR day a success! Huge thanks to the Manhattan Animal Control officers, KSU Shelter Medicine, Geary County Animal Shelter, and the amazing citizens who helped trap and transport community cats. 🐾

Together, we spayed/neutered 24 cats — a huge step forward in supporting community cat health and population control!
