For those that follow, this is one of the results of donations made. Some small, like us, and some large. The rebuild of tge asia section has allowed this to happen. I barely knew this man, only speaking to him a few times in person and a handful of text exchanges over the years. Yet, he inspired me in many ways to believe in what i could do with animals, and start my social media journey. Rest well my friend, i will see you again.

On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.

More than the guiding light of our organization, Brian's fervent passion for reptiles and wildlife, along with his steadfast dedication to education, has touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.

Our deepest sympathies are with Brian's family, his friends, and all those whose lives he has touched. We've lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void.
As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian's work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.

The Barczyk family invites you to join us for a Public Memorial Walk-through to honor Brian’s memory. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Heritage Church, located at 44625 Schoenherr Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48313 from 1-3pm.

Was weighing females that are up and coming this season to see who’s going to get there. This Pastel Crypton Het DG is probably one of my favorites that has an outside chance. Now she’s hanging off but when she’s in the a cup to weigh her. She’s about 930 grams. Little light so maybe mid season she goes or she could easily put that weight on in the next couple months.

All done, back home. Look, this wasn't the best show for us from a long shot on a financial stand point. As a business, you have to run numbers frequently. Did we make a profit? Sure. Was I hoping to do better? Absolutely.

However, sometimes there are more important things. We got to meet and hang out with some cool people. Even ran into some folks who watch us while we were driving home!

Also, the area of shreveport and bossier city had been pummeled hard by storms. A good part of the city was without power, and some saying it would be weeks. People down there sre hurting, and getting animals at a show has to take a back seat.

Stay strong shreveport, and God speed in getting those lights and a.c. back up.
