Fun Fact for Whitney’s Week: she had care of over 130 patients in ONE WEEK, during Spring Break! That means she had to check 130 records, to make sure they were current on vaccines, prevention, and fecals, so that every one of our boarders had a safe boarding/daycare experience.

She also is the master of puzzles 🧩, making sure animals with individual needs all are placed accordingly, so that they have a safe and comfortable experience. Whitney gets to know your pets, so that if they become ill, she can let a medical team member know right away. Your pets are in great hands with her.

Pet Sitter's Week just doesn't encompass all the splendor that Whitney brings to TimberCreek boarding and daycare! The growth that has occurred because of Whitney's passion and perseverance has been astounding. She is the chaos coordinator and motivational speaker of not just daycare dogs, but also the students and ever-changing schedules that she manages. 🐕

So, this week, we have dubbed it "Whitney's Week!" With her management and people skills she can organize, troubleshoot, and simplify the boarding and daycare process. She has helped bring so much joy to the daycare dogs' schedule, celebrations, and activities. She is an entrepreneur that never stops working or dreaming. We are so, so grateful to have her on our team. She brings so much ✨sparkle✨ to TimberCreek. Help us celebrate all the hard work that she puts into making the client experience smoother!

Congratulations to Lindsay and Tom, who were both accepted into vet school for this upcoming Fall semester! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Lindsay has multiple offers and is still deciding on which school she would like to attend, while Tom has accepted K-State's offer. We are so proud of our students and are grateful to be a part of their journey to their dream.

It's time to get your horse's preventative care done before they start travelling and getting back into work. 🐴 Drs. McAtee, Sloan, and Lewis are available to get your horse ready for show, work, or recreation.

🦷Floating your horse's teeth annually is the best way to get ahead of dental problems, preventing behavioral and health problems. If you bought a new horse, now is a good time to have their teeth evaluated as well.

💉Coggins testing is now required (as of January 2025) for movement into Kansas, exhibition, or sale of horses throughout Kansas. Coggins is a simple blood test, looking for Equine Infectious Anemia.

💩 F***l egg count testing is performed annually to aid in appropriate deworming protocols, individualized for each horse.

🏇🏻 Lameness evaluations target the cause of decreased performance or comfort. Let us help you get your horse back into work comfortably, so that you can reach your 2025 goals!

It is International Women's Day and TimberCreek couldn't go 'round without all the women from the front desk to the surgery table! Our women are mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, leaders, community members, friends, and so much more! They lead with love and empathy and have contributed so much to the veterinary field, for the better.

⚠️⚠️We have received news from the Pott County Health Department that two cats have tested positive for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in our county!

If you are suspicious your cat may be sick, please let us know when you call, so our staff can properly prepare. This is very deadly in cats, so the sooner the cat can be seen, the better the chances are of being able to help them. ⚠️⚠️

🩻 As we close out dental month, here is a unique view of a resorptive lesion that
came from a cat. The x-ray of the bottom tooth shows tooth destruction
(irregular black area, extending from the crown, down the root).

😿 The picture shows what that tooth looked like on the outside (barely noticeable)
and inside. The destruction on the left side of the tooth is significant, compared
to the normal structure on the right. These teeth are brittle and break easily,
causing pain. This is why x-rays and routine dental exams are so important!

🦷 Tomorrow is the last day of dental month and despite the images above, we have
had the least amount of extractions this time around than ever before. That
means, you guys are bringing pets in sooner so that we can prevent or manage
disease before we have to take the whole tooth.
