I know the end is rough, but my son doesn't ride as often as either of us would like, and the last horse he was learning on was spur trained so he did what I asked not what the horse knew, such a good girl! Did I mention she hasn't been ridden in over a week! I hopped on for like three goes each way and then he got on!

Abby's work out today, this horse is doing so good. Can't believe no one has scooped her up yet! Can literally finish her western anyway you want!
Pleasure, eq, ranch, she has already proven she can jump and move out for the hunter look at her scale back for western.
Boomers (My Kinda Asset) work out today.
Everyone was so good! I am so proud!!
Time and love makes such a difference! β€οΈπ
We really worked on watching my body today. We didn't warm-up nor have I done much setting him, pivots (pass 1/8th of the turn), and backing. She really came around in just fifteen minutes. Can't wait until he is cleaned up and I get his maneuvers cleaned up.
He really is putting in the effort, he gets upset when he isn't first, to be worked, and is always waiting when it is time. Can NOT go wrong with him!
Abby (IMA BLU RUBY) is coming along quickly in such a short and inconsistent amount of time. Her willingness is absolutely amazing! And anyone who doesn't scoop her up is seriously missing out!! I give her a few more rides and she will be right on track to finishing the western events!
I needed a mare in my life π geldings are amazing but the mares really test your ability as a horseman. I'm glad I get the opportunity to have this one to work with, I have had the honor of riding/training not one but two of her (full) brothers (Rip/Mister Mayhem/Moldy Cheese Baby and 15 years ago Scooter/Moore Time to Scoot)
Here goes posting this here too...
My name is Shawnna Burns, I have my own training program (Burning Ties), where I do everything from breaking to showing to trail riding, of all breeds (arab-QH). My main focus up until recently was wp all around events, but made the switch about two years ago to ranch riding. My strongest suit is showmanship (it is my favorite class, no matter the breed)
I have 25+ years of riding and showing experience, minimal time in the world pens. My first year as a trainer at Pinto this year my client and her home grown baby walked about with multiple top five placings and a reserve, in the ranch w/t events.
My amateurs are out enjoying the rest of their summer with their families so I figured now would be the perfect time to get my toes back in the water and learning.
I am looking for another trainer of similar disciplines or even completely different (saddlebreds and saddle seat, for example) to learn more and better my knowledge. A position I can ride would be awesome but would even be willing to just come sit in or even take a few lessons. I did spend about 5 months in Texas in 2013 at a small reining barn.
I also wouldn't be opposed to doing shows and ring stewarding. I am just a girl trying to make myself a better horseman in this crazy competitive world π I have plenty of videos of my abilities on my business page.
I am located in Manistee MI, relocation is not an option, unless the opportunity is the right fit for the next part of my life.
All finished.
Was a "rush" order for this weekend.
If anyone is interested in having their tack given a face lift, feel free to contact me.

Good bye Tulsa, you were good to the moldy cheese baby.
When the dirty white horse shines, this good.
