We want to extend our warmest Thanksgiving wishes to you and yours, and we're thankful that you and your pets are a part of our Thompson Veterinary Family.

In observance of Thanksgiving, we will be closed on 11/28/24 and reopening Monday, 12/2/24. If you are in need of emergency services during this closure, please call our emergency line at (906) 341-2813 option 1.

Please be advised that due to a shared call rotation, from 8:00AM, 11/28/24, to 8:00AM, 11/29/24, you will be transferred to the Escanaba Veterinary Clinic.

We will return to our regular emergency call services, and you will be transferred to our on-call veterinarian from 8:00AM to 5:00PM on 11/29/24.

After 5:00PM on 11/29/24, Escanaba Vet Clinic will resume on-call emergency services until we re-open at 8:00AM on 12/2/24.

Thank you for the opportunity to care for your furry family members and for giving us so much to be grateful for.

Our prolonged long summer has brought an influx of mosquitoes, and in turn, a rise in cases of West Nile Disease and Eastern Equine Encephalitis. Equine owners, please read the following article to understand some preventative measures you can take, including required core vaccines, insect repellant, and more, to ensure your horse's safety against these diseases.

The warm, late summer temperatures have brought more than lazy days outside. Late summer has welcomed more mosquitoes and signaled the start of West Nile (WNV) and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) season for horses and humans.

We want to congratulate one of our licensed technicians on her marriage today. Some of our staff were able to celebrate with the new couple. It was a beautiful day.
