Good morning Balde Farm friends!

My apologies to the truck that had to go around me this morning! But I just could not resist stopping to capture this beautiful image!

I’ve always loved old barns, and this is one of my favorites! If you’re in the Manitowoc area, you might recognize it. It’s located on English Lake Rd. It stands alone in an open area and the skies almost always give it a scenic look that rivals any painting I’ve ever seen.

I drive past it often and it never ceases to bring a smile to my face. I’ve been trying to think who it could belong to. And my only guess is either the elk farm up the road as it’s usually full of hay, or a private owner.

If you know who owns this barn, let them know how much joy it brings others!

Good morning Balde Farm friends!

There’s just something about sunrises and sunsets that I have always loved!

This morning, I had to start work a little later than usual, which gave me the chance to watch the sunrise.

As the sun was starting to peek over the trees, I took time to just sit in front of the window with all the lights off, a cup of hot coffee in my lap, and Jack at my feet.

I put my favorite morning song on repeat, “Quiet” by Elevation Worship, and I just soaked in all the comfort of the Lord’s goodness.

If only every morning could start like that! But at this time of year in Wisconsin, I start leaving for work and returning home in the dark. So I’ll take these moments when I can.

I hope you all find some time in your day to just relax and soak in the moment with something that brings you joy, whatever that might be.

Hello! Many of you know me personally as friends, family, or you have met me while visiting our little hobby farm. For those of you that haven't been officially introduced, my name is Sarah Balde. And I'm the one who's mind is ALWAYS going with crazy ideas that my amazing husband and father help me bring to life.

It's difficult for me to believe, but I'm coming to the end of my 40's! How that happened so fast I can't understand! I'm a wife, mother, grandmother and full time RN. We have a beautiful, blended family with 7 amazing adult children, and 10 wonderful grandchildren whom I absolutely adore.

My interests are unending but "currently" include animals, baking, crafts, DIY projects, hosting events, and so much more! My family will tell you that I change my mind and interests all the time. I'm not afraid to try tackling just about any new skill and mostly love learning them. At times I get frustrated and discouraged in the process. But my stubbornness usually keeps me going until I figure it out. However, I'm learning to preserve my peace over trying to be able to do everything well. That part took me about 30 years to understand.

I have had a lot of struggles in life and at times didn't think I'd make it through. BUT GOD! He had other plans for me. I'll NEVER be ashamed to shout JESUS IS MY SAVIOUR!

I will say that one of my biggest blessings is my husband though! And for that I am so grateful. I never thought I'd find, or even deserved real happiness. But here I am, blessed with the MOST AMAZING husband. He truly does make all my dreams come true! His words just a couple days ago as I was trying to decide on a project that he was working on for me were "whatever you want babe, you know that" SWOON! The amount of patience this man has developed since we have been together is unbelievable, especially if you knew him beforehand! I like to think I've helped him that way. LOL

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved the warm mixture of cranberries, oranges and strawberries, paired with cloves, allspice, and cinnamon. Who knows what flavor jam I made today?
