Diamond’s Week 2 Update

What a difference a week can make! Since her intake, Diamond has gained 8 pounds—and it shows in more than just her body. Her energy is rising, her will is stronger, and we’re seeing the glimmer of a happy, healthy dog begin to shine through.

Her skin is calming down, her eyes are brighter, and her spirit is blooming. While she still has a long road to recovery, Diamond is truly thriving—both physically and emotionally.

We’re hopeful that she’ll be ready for a foster home as early as next week, depending on her continued progress.

But Diamond’s journey isn’t over—and she still needs us.

If you’ve been touched by her story, please consider making a donation to our Hope Fund, which helps cover the cost of medical care and recovery for animals just like Diamond. Every dollar goes directly toward giving her (and others) the second chance they deserve.

Donate to the Hope Fund. Be part of Diamond’s comeback story.

She’s a fighter. Let’s keep fighting with her.

Diamond’s Road to Recovery: Found in Maribel, WI—Safe & Healing 💎🐾
Tuesday, Diamond’s life changed forever.
Two good Samaritans hiking in Maribel, WI spotted this frail, emaciated senior dog struggling on the trail. They gently got her into their vehicle and brought her straight to Lakeshore Humane Society, giving her the chance she so desperately needed.
At the shelter, we scanned for a microchip and discovered Diamond’s story stretches all the way back to Miami. We connected with her original owners, who had rehomed her some time ago. Where she’s been since then, we may never fully know—but our focus is on where she’s going from here.
💙 The Road Ahead 💙
Diamond is about 20 pounds underweight and needs careful, steady feeding to safely regain her strength. Her body isn’t ready for large meals yet, so we’re starting slow—small, frequent meals to prevent complications from starvation.
She is on a high-quality, nutrient-rich diet specially chosen to help her gain weight safely. Along with ongoing vet care, monitoring, and bloodwork, this will ensure she recovers in the healthiest way possible.
Despite all she’s been through, Diamond’s sweet, gentle nature shines through. You can see the wisdom in her beautiful graying face, a reminder that she has so much love left to give.
🐾 Follow Her Journey! 🐾
Diamond’s recovery will take time, but we will be sharing weekly updates so you can follow her progress every step of the way. Watch as she gains strength, regains her spark, and starts to thrive with the love and care she deserves.
🐶 How You Can Help 🐶
Her food, medical care, and ongoing treatments depend on the Hope Fund, which is our only resource for providing medical care to animals in need.
💙 Be part of Diamond’s journey by donating to the Hope Fund today. Every gift—big or small—makes a difference in her recovery.
