🚨Pro Tip from FAF: Cold weather and grooming. ❄️

Once we get through the holiday’s we often don’t see pets until spring which results in unnecessary shave downs. Regular grooming is necessary for your pet regardless of the season to avoid matted or compacted coat.

Matted coats from lack of care do not function properly. Compacted undercoat or matted coats from putting garments on your pet can actually cause your pet to overheat or not be able to thermoregulate their body temperature properly.

Unless your pet spends significant amounts of time outside, you should choose what your pet needs to be comfortable in your indoor environment. You can always throw booties and/or sweaters on for potty breaks and walks.

Double coated breeds with severely compacted undercoat cannot properly raise/lower guard hairs to keep heat in or let it out. Even dogs who spend time outside have to be brushed and combed for their coats to function properly.

FAF has been voted #1 Pet Groomer 7 years running by Mankato Magazine's Reader Choice Awards for 2014 through 2020. In 2019 we were voted 3rd Best Kennel for our daycare services! We couldn’t be more honored! Unfortunately, Covid-19 forced a difficult decision to close our daycare services so that we could reallocate our work space in order to social distance. We do not plan to reopen daycare services at our current location. Currently, we provide pet grooming services only. Our grooming services are available to all breeds of dogs and cats. We provide grooming services to other pets upon consultation.

At FAF, our goal is to help your pet feel and look its best! We are here to help you maintain your pet’s grooming needs.
