My heart dogs birthdays are today. Little Koda is 7 and we changed her sisters birthday to today too, so Miss Gemma girl is 8 (we think lol)🥳🎊💕🥰

I’m not going to lie I got teary eyed looking back at old photos of Koda seeing what was her completely black muzzle.. now she sports a sugar kissed, gray & white muzzle. Getting koda as a puppy taught me so much, like what to do and what not to do with dogs & puppies. We’ve been through so so sooo much of life together. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for her (and Gemma too). I can’t imagine life without my little tootie baby. She’s the quirkiest little weirdo I know. She never fails to make me laugh or smile, and also shake my head from time to time too. I cherish all the snuggles I get, all the coffees we share (she gets pup cups I’m not actually sharing my coffee of course) and everything else in between.

Miss Gemma came into my life 3-4 years ago, and tbh I had no clue what I was getting into with her. I brought her home when I was working at the shelter. Little did I know she would be a huge challenge and to come with that lots of tears and late nights wondering if I was doing the right thing by continuing to try and work with her. Here we are years later, and I also couldn’t imagine life without her. I might have gained a few extra white hairs over some of Gemma’s shenanigans, but I’m so proud of all the progress we’ve made over the years. She’s truly the sweetest, most loyal dog and a pretty darn good guard dog when I need her to be too😈💕

I’m so beyond thankful for my canine crew of two. My heart dogs. My girls. I hope we get to celebrate a million more birthdays together, and as tradition follows on the menu for tonight is steak for them 🥩🦴 Happiest of birthdays my sweet stinky girls 🩷🎊🎄🥰🥳

I’ve been Finns groomer for a while now, and I just have to say him & his momma are the best clients 🫶🏼🥰 She became my client in Mankato and was driving about an hour one way to see me! While the drive might be a few minutes shorter, she still drives just about the same to see me now that I’ve moved! 🥹😭 I’m so thankful to have had such an amazing client duo (pup AND mom) 🩷🫶🏼

It has been sooo long since I’ve done an “introduction post”, probably about two years now, not to mention I’ve changed so much as a person & groomer in that time, and have soooo many new faces to introduce myself to!

I’m Mikayla, I’ve been grooming just shy of 5 years now! I enjoy putting pet trims on your pups and adding fun accessories such as flower collars too!🎀🐶I was fortunate enough last year to travel all over the states with Helen Schaefer a groom team USA member, as an assistant at several grooming expo/shows. I couldn’t be more grateful for the experiences and memories I made last year. I have also made so so many wonderful connections in the grooming industry, and so many people have turned from strangers to friends to family, I am seriously SO lucky!!

I’m so beyond happy and thankful to currently be working at Adore Dog Salon in St Louis Park MN with the very best team!🐶🐾

When I’m not grooming, I’m spending time with my two dogs, who I call my girls and my boyfriend!🫶🏼🩷 I have cats too, but they’re pretty independent and like to do their own thing lol🤦🏼‍♀️. I enjoy all things horror/true crime, ice cream, flowers, & iced coffee (I have at-least one cup every day lol). I love trying new local coffee shops, getting new tattoos, traveling, exploring, adventuring, and spending time outdoors (only when it’s warm though! I don’t like the cold and snow!). I also love thrift store shopping, photography, lifting weights, baking, spontaneous road trips, and playing board games!

I’m so excited to see what this next year in grooming has in store for me! 🫶🏼❣️🐶
