The hospital will be closed with Dr. Endres unavailable to see patients from Dec 24th at 1:00pm until we resume normal business hours on Dec 27th at 8:00 am.
In addition, we will be closing on Dec 31 at 2:30pm and resume business hours on Jan 2nd at 8:00 am.

Important information to share. Dr Endres treated a case very similar to this one.

‼️‼️ALERT‼️‼️
We are seeing an increase in cases of recently kenneled dogs with moderate to severe ulcers of the tongue and mouth. One of these cases was extremely ill when arriving here and required intensive hospitalization to recover. We are monitoring the situation and have not completely ruled out a viral cause, but at this time we believe this may be caused by some sort of caustic substance.

One likely source would be the disinfectants used at the daycare/boarding facility. There are many powerful and effective products now on the market. Almost all of them come in a concentrated form and must be used at the CORRECT DILUTION strength and according to the manufacturer’s directions. Failure to do so can expose both staff and pets to dangerous chemicals and possible injury and illness.

Daycare/Boarding facilities: please train your staff and ensure that appropriate product handling is always being followed.

Pet owners: please be diligent in monitoring your pets if they go to these facilities and direct the staff there to this post if necessary. This has not been isolated to one kennel or facility, so caution is advised.

Because of rainy weather forecasted all weekend, we have decided to postpone the fundraiser yard sale. We will reschedule it for a future weekend.
We appreciate all the donations that have come in. We will continue to take donations if you did not have an opportunity to get them to us for this weekend.
