Just a little information for you guys and gals that have your bucks or deer in general processed. Idk how many pounds of meat is left on this head, but it’s basically the entire neck. Steaks, ground, or roast, This could be why your harvest feels a little lighter when you pick it up from the processor. Lol Never hurts to mention you want the neck meat when getting your deer caped out at the processor!

Grandpa's Ten Commandments

1. Don't step on anything you can step over.

2. Don't look for deer; look for movement (and remember, it's what they're looking for, too).

3. Always approach downwind. In the cool of the day, move uphill; in the heat of the day, move downhill.

4. The best camouflage pattern is called, "Sit down and be quiet!" Your grandpa hunted deer in a red plaid coat. Think about that for a second.

5. Take only the gear to the field that allows you to hunt longer, harder, and smarter.

6. A rainstorm isn't a reason to quit the hunt. It's a reason to stay.

7. Camouflage your appearance, your sound and your scent.

8. Be sure of your shot. Nothing is more expensive than regret.

9. Hunt where the deer actually are, not where you'd imagine them to be.

10. Next year's hunt begins the minute this season's hunt ends

Edit: Annie got home around 5:00 i needed to run and check cams so i said to heck with it. I’m going out. I got my cards and went to my stand. I was a sissy and didn’t get in my stand because I didn’t want to get sopping wet. So i set underneath some of these giant oak limbs. As soon as I went to pick up. After two sets of rattling and grunting. It was almost dark still raining and the wind was blowing 30 miles an hour. I put my grunt tube and antlers back on my bag, stood up and went to grab my bow to head out and had a beautiful 8 point coming out of the creek at 10 steps.….got ahold of my bow after a long wait but he caught me drawing back. Hunting from the ground is a different ball game but so cool. The rut is fixing to kick off ladies and gentlemen, I will be back after them in the morning i think it’s going to be good! Good luck to all in the morning!

I can also do touch ups and repairs. I wish I would have taken before pics. the skin around the eyes were all cracked and along the ears and nose. Got it fixed up and shining again tho!
