It’s been a while since I posted or had any rabbits available. My summer work schedule was crazy and now focusing on getting those 10 acres. Will post once I have an update.

Happy 4th of July from these chubby bucks!

This is my last litter till fall…unless I randomly decide to make life difficult🤪
All 4 are boys, all 4 have blue eyes, and they will be ready to go Monday, message me if interested in taking one, some, or all home!

I’m pretty happy with the 9 week weights on these bucks. I expected the heat to slow them down, but they were all mostly right where they should be at 41/2 lbs. Except one strangler at 4lbs and a front runner at 4 lbs 12 oz ( #7 in the 2 individual photos)

Don’t mind the dirty dog bed, I was in a hurry to get weights and photos.

Ok, I got them all at least once lol, they are 7 weeks as of today and range from 3-31/2 pounds

Things around here that benefited from the rabbit manure:
The garden, I collected 15 lbs of potatoes from just 4 bucks like the one in the photo. And I’m growing my first eggplants ever! I also randomly got some pet turtles who enjoy the occasional worm I can easily find composting the rabbit manure.

These boys were the worst for photos 😅 I don’t even want to sort through the individual ones because so many are just awful, amazingly the group shots are halfway decent. I also weighed them all, everyone was between two and 2 1/2 pounds although I am a few days late on getting there 5 week weights. But this means they are all on track to be 5 lbs at or within a few days of 10 weeks, if the heat doesn’t slow them down.

This is the most mischievous and lucky little bunny!

He somehow escaped his cage, went un-noticed by the neighbors cats, then survived a run in with my dogs, ( luckily training works and my dogs come when called, even mid chase!) and on top of all that, he survived being captured by me…with the screaming he did surly I was going to eat him 🤣 but he is back where he belongs and doing great!

The kits are starting to explore but didn’t seem ready to be out of the nest box permanently yet, so they got cleaned out and filled with fresh hay

Apparently I’m better at growing June bugs than I am at growing veggies. I pulled over 20 of these out of just one of my garden containers. The particular container they were in had grown about 5 really good carrots the rest were so small I just gave them to the rabbits 🐰

I finally added some solar lights to my rabbit run! I do wish I had payed attention to the lumens because it’s not quite bright enough, but it was on sale.
I can see the ground, food, and water easily enough, I just can’t see the rabbits if they are in the back of their cages so I’ll still be using my phones flashlight at times. The best thing about them though is the lights have settings so they can only be on when I turn them on, rather than staying on all night like other solar lights.

Natasha who was one of my best does, broke her back. She had zero response to noxious stimuli in her back end, and no control of her bladder so I decided to let her go. She would have been due to have a litter last Friday but when you have animals unexpectedly things can and will happen.
