This young mom and her puppies are currently in foster through a shelter. The shelter is having a distemper outbreak and their foster is about to deploy. We are looking for a foster for the mom and puppies, so the puppies are not put at risk. The puppies are 4 weeks old and momma Sage looks tired. ❤️🩹 They would benefit from having a home and away from the shelter risk and stress. Please let us know ASAP if you're able to help. Micheal Pupdate 🐾
Micheal's recovery is going well he has gained weight, he's now 45lbs. He's eating and drinking well. All but one abscess on his neck is now healed. His neck is healing and the hair is growing back. He's getting more and more comfortable with his foster family, asking for pets and love each day more often, a complete sweetheart. 🐾

FOSTER PLEA 📣
Sweet Zina is only 3 yrs of age and weighs 70 lbs. She is an amazing loving dog, sweet and just wants to give kisses to her human and receive pets. 🐶
We are looking for a home without small dogs. Zina will need to go through heartworm treatment while in foster care, which will be at minimum a commitment of 90 days from a foster committed to her recovery. The rescue provides her monthly heartworm prevention and covers her vet expenses. She is current on vaccinations and microchipped.
She will be an easy loving foster and make a wonderful companion to the fortunate family who adopts her. Please share with family and friends to help us find a foster for Zina.

🚨 Calling all Great Pyrenees lovers 🚨
One of AGSDR’s long-time partner vets recently found a female Pyrenees and her 12-week-old puppy in a dire situation, caught in an inhumane snare. Thanks to the doctor’s swift action, both were saved and are now safe, but they need your help!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Asta, a beautiful senior German Shepherd who found her way to AGSDR under challenging circumstances.
Asta’s journey with us began when her elderly owners were admitted to a nursing facility, leaving her without a home. Thanks to Classic Canines, the compassionate staff and one extraordinary resident at the complex who cared for her during those uncertain days, she avoided a shelter surrender. They contacted AGSDR, and we gladly welcomed her into our care.
After receiving the vetting she needed, Asta found safety and comfort in a temporary AGSDR foster home. It wasn’t long before she settled into the loving embrace of our founder’s ranch, where she spent two blissful years living her best country girl life. 🤠 Asta’s days were filled with love, care, and the joy of wide-open spaces.
We are immensely grateful to our founder for providing Asta with the best possible retirement and being her bridge to her afterlife. Asta’s story is a testament to the power of community and the difference we can make together.
Rest in peace, sweet Asta. You will forever be in our hearts. 🌈🐾

Our sweet Sundance has found her foster home and is settling in beautifully. She’s being showered with love and care, and we’re thrilled to see her thriving on her way to a full recovery. 🐾❤️
Our friends at recently took in a heartbreaking case of a momma shepherd found starving, emaciated, and near death on the streets. At the emergency vet, it was discovered she had recently given birth to 9 puppies. Thankfully, they were able to find and reunite her with her babies, and the family is now receiving much-needed care.
The puppies are doing well and are healthy, but momma needs time and support to recover from her harsh life on the streets. The puppies need to stay with her for a short time before being separated to allow momma to heal.
Jack Jack’s Pack urgently needs:
🐾 A short-term neonatal foster for the momma and her puppies.
🐾 Several fosters to take in the puppies once they are ready.
🐾 A dedicated foster for momma Shep to support her rehabilitation.

Sundance is a 9 month old female in jeopardy at a rural county shelter. The shelter has given her Bravecto for her mange and has her on Cephalexin for her skin infection. The shelter says she is very sweet.
She needs a hero by May 18th.

Bunny from will also be there tomorrow! She is a 1 year old petite female German shepherd. She is confident, smart, energetic, loyal and human focused. She loves to be next to human and enjoys playing with her male German Shepherd foster brother. She would do best in a home with male dogs or with dogs who are okay with her boundaries. She is house and crate trained. She does great on a leash, loves going on walks and very food motivated (great for training!) She does great with kids and is gentle when they're handling her.

She is a smart cookie and already knows sit, down and ‘kennel’. She loves belly rubs and looks up at you with her big beautiful eyes and melty ears. Amy will be a wonderful family pet!

Guess what? Sandy recently went on her first group camping trip and she did so well! ✨ She was off-leash at the campsite and had excellent recall. 🏕️ She got to play nonstop with another dog in the group, hiked on some trails and went swimming in the lake.
