Neighbors, please keep your eyes open and be aware of a Black Ford Transit van.

On Wednesday 8/31, at approx 2:30-2:45, a person jumped out of this van and chased a young boy in what may have been an attempted abduction. Thankfully, the child was able to outrun this person and make it safely home.

This van was also spotted (captured on camera) passing the child’s home again yesterday at 8:30 AM. I Police have been notified and have canvassed the area.

Please remain vigilant and if you see this van, please try to make note of its license plate.

We have been receiving many messages from concerned homeowners regarding the lighting conditions at the entrance and Beechwood. Please call Brookhaven Town Hall at (631) 451-8696 to voice your concerns. This has been the 4th time since February the lights went out. We have called numerous times and are told they will get to it when they can. Perhaps the more people that call, the quicker we can have it resolved.
