A critical aspect of the game farm is serving as a sanctuary to animals that have been rescued, rehabilitated, or re-homed. Long Island Game Farm is a place to experience exotic and local species in a safe, fun, and educational environment. ✨

In this interactive class, students will learn about the incredible adaptations animals use to find food, protect themselves, and endure seasonal changes. We’ll delve into topics like hibernation, migration, and other survival strategies, while observing a variety of species—from native wildlife to exotic animals like lemurs, zebras,

Our back woods nature trail will officially open in May of next year! ✨🦉 Greg Drossel made a mock nest in hopes that a great horned owl uses it. They use abandoned squirrel or redtail hawk nests.

Made from a laundry basket, garland and branches. They start courting in January and nest in February/March. It’s about 12’ off the ground in the big cedar tree outside Woodland Hall. 🌳✨

One of our educators will guide you on how to feed our capybaras and answer your questions about their interesting species. In December the times will be at 11:00am and 1:00pm. ✨

Max 8 people and groups will be combined when needed. Ages 4 and up. Children under 15 must be accompanied with a paying adult. Please wear closed toed shoes. 💚
