Yard play because too hot to walk. Lots of cool off breaks for Ziggy and Rudy! If out and about, please monitor your pet for signs of heat exhaustion. Ziggy needed a break in this photo. Heavy panting and head turned from Rudy’s invite to play more . So inside we went to cool off for a solid 10min. Water breaks and short play sessions are safer in this heat. Please check asphalt temps with your wrist or barefoot too. Too hot for you? It’s too hot for them! Be safe everyone.

Just a reminder of how important dental health is… my Bean was losing weight and hiding. The vet looked in her mouth to find two infected teeth. Extractions are tomorrow. Be sure to check you pets mouth often, and when you see behavior changes, always rule out heath issues with your vet! Good luck tomorrow Bean Bean! 🦷 🐈 💕

Each and every one…. 🐾 🐾 🐈‍⬛ 🐕

In the rich mosaic of my own journey, I find myself pausing to cherish the distinct colours and textures that each dog brought to the canvas of my life. From the lively chaos of my first furry friend's puppyhood to the serene companionship of the wise elder who shared the twilight of our days, each one left an indelible mark, a unique brushstroke on the portrait of my life.

Their joyous barks and affectionate nudges spoke a language of love that transcended the barriers of words, creating a silent dialogue between us. In the quiet moments of shared glances and the gentle touch of a paw, I uncovered lessons that went beyond the ordinary, revealing the depth of patience, empathy, and the profound connection forged in the simplicity of coexistence.

As I trace the imprints of their paws on the pathways of my heart, I recognise that these canine companions were not just pets; they were cherished co-pilots on the journey of self-discovery. Their unwavering loyalty and the unspoken bond we shared unveiled the beauty of devotion, reminding me that life's most meaningful lessons often come wrapped in fur, accompanied by wagging tails and an abundance of love.

Great Dane lovers where are you?!
This big skinny boi is John Duke! He was recently pulled from NECCOG and is working on getting acclimated and healthy in his foster home with us. With such a big boi comes big food bills (and being skinny this means a balanced high calorie food)!
If you are thinking about donating some dog food we have found Canidae all life stages is available at most stores, higher in calories, and comes in a big bag!

Duke is accepting applications while he works on being a happy boy😁 [email protected]
