UPDATE: When we scheduled this event the temps were a little more on the mild side. Even though the humidity is going to be down, Saturday is the hottest day of the week. We will start the show at 6:30pm - as we have been during the summer months - gates open @ 5:00pm.

Please join us for our September Fun Show - Buckle Series on September 13th @ 5:30pm, gates open @ 4:00pm.

If you would like to pre-register for this event, please send a PM to our FB page or email at [email protected]. Include name, horses name, events to participate in, and age group. We will close judged event registration at 5:15pm.

When we moved to Mansfield, our then 7yo daughter absolutely loved horses and dreamed of one day owning one. One Saturday morning we came across a swap meet at a local saddle club, where we talked with a couple horse owners and even met a trainer. That night in 2020 was the beginning of it all. Our 7yo daughter was riding lead-line barrels on a horse, in front of a crowd that was cheering her on. I understand not everyone has that same opportunity and that's why the Youth Horse Camp at the Mansfield Equine Club is so important. As we finished up our 3rd year of camp (August 23rd), we had the pleasure of working with 7 amazing young campers. All of the volunteers that came out last night to teach and mentor these kiddos are a true blessing.

Dallee Dodson and 4 of her youth, Lem Berry, Michelle Tongyai, Vivian Tongyai, and three of our club youth all did an amazing job teaching and mentoring our campers. Dallee had her girls dress in full show attire and went over Showmanship, proper riding, and tack. We finished up the evening leading the campers through a basic showmanship pattern and leadline riding through barrels and poles. The smiles on their face were the best part!The kids smiled, learned, and built relationships with not only the horses but with fellow campers.

Wendy Vlietstra brought out her snowcone machine and the kids loved it. Shane Savoy cooked up some dinner for all of us. It was beautiful weather and an amazing night.

We got a load of sand Friday morning, delivered by Lirley Roxk Haulin - Michael Lirley. The club would like to thank Michael for getting us on the books so quick and for graciously donating approximately 1.5 ton of sand. It is greatly appreciated for sure. If anyone needs any rock and or sand delivered, please contact Lirley Rock Haulin.

Our Saturday, May 10th Fun Show was awesome! The weather was amazing, food was great, and the crowd was big. Lots of new faces that attended the event. I was able to talk to a few of you briefly, but I wanted to say welcome to you all again and I hope to see you at future events.

I want to say thank you to Dallee Dodson and family for the amazing job they did on the club grounds leading up to the event. As well, Dallee donated the 3 yummy pies for the event. I never did get a piece but heard they were great.
I want to thank Shane Savoy for going out Saturday morning and dragging the arena. I was so worried about the weather and rain through the week, that I never thought we would have to put water on the arena. Thank you to Michelle Tongyai for stepping into our role of judge this year. We appreciate it greatly! Thank you to Paul Vlietstra and Kourtney Dawn (and family) for the amazing job in the cookshack. You all knocked it out of the park...or should I say arena! 🙂 I want to also thank Sue Harris for taking over as announcer the couple times I had to step away.

Thank you to all the parents for bringing out their youth. You all are doing amazing things. Thank you to all who rode and participated in the events. You all did amazing! Thank you to all the spectators who came out in support of our riders. You all are witnessing the continuing growth of a great sport. Thank you to all the people that helped out during this event. Without you, we can't continue to build this community!

A few of our participants have asked for scoring information in Ranch Trail and Showmanship, as well as scores from the speed events. I am working on getting those posted. Also, if you left the event and didn't get your place ribbon, please let me know.

Our next event is Saturday, June 14th (Gymkhana Fun Show)...patterns and show bill will be posted soon. See you all there!
