Here are our Daycare Activities for November!

Please view our updated Closings & Special Hours that are coming up. For the month of November, we will be closed for pick-up/drop-off on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28th) but boarding will still be available. Daycare will be closed November 29th and there will be limited hours for boarding drop-off/pick-up. Holidays are our busiest time for boarding so be sure to get your reservations in ASAP.

Reminder: We are now on our Monday/Wednesday/Friday daycare schedule! Our space is limited, and priority will go to our dogs on a regular weekly schedule, then we will accept other dogs on days we have availability until full.

THE DREADED KENNEL COUGH. We've received a few reports of dogs showing symptoms for kennel cough. We typically see an influx in cases around times of drastic weather change, but it can go around anytime. Please read through this infographic below to keep an eye out for any symptoms your dogs may present. If your dog is showing symptoms, please keep them home! This has been a tricky thing for us to deal with in pet care. We all want our dogs to be able to come and have fun and play with their friends, just like sending kids to school. However similarly to sending children to school there are risks involved and they are more likely to get sick. With kennel cough a dog can be in the incubation period for 2-14 days, presenting as normally healthy, attending daycare, playing with friends, while unknowingly to us and owners they are infecting other dogs. This is a vicious cycle, and while we do our best to disinfect to keep a sanitary facility, dogs play with their mouths, slobber on each other, bark at one another, and are the perfect germ spreaders. Something that we hear a lot is: "my dog has the Bordetella(kennel cough) vaccine so they can't get it, right?" WRONG. The Bordetella vaccine only covers certain strains. It will likely help lessen the severity of symptoms for a dog, but they can still contract select strains of the virus. Please keep in mind, we as a pet care facility do not create this virus, we do not intend to spread it, we don't want dogs to get sick and we take precautions to avoid it. It is simply a risk of choosing to socialize your dog, they can get sick. While we believe the benefits of socialization and specialized pet care greatly outweigh the risks, we understand that is a personal decision everyone must make for their own pets and we respect everyone's decision, the best we can do is educate and be transparent. Thank you! 🐾

After a day of zoomies, romping, rolling, and sniffing, this is how the afternoons look for the pack! Winding down while we wait for pick-ups! 🐾

🌞Today had us dreaming of the warm summer days ahead! These dogs love being out in our big play yard! Look at all the room they have to sniff and explore and romp around with their friends! Our small staff work so hard to provide the best boarding & daycare experience for our guests and these smiley faces and wagging tails say it all 🐾 thanks for playing with us!

🐾No worries moms and dads, your boarding dogs are having a good time, whether it be playing out in the snow❄️, in the indoor play room, or lounging in their boarding suites 💤! Grateful for a nice warm facility to keep the fur kids comfortable during this storm! 🏠

Falls not over just yet!! Doggy daycare dogs today got some pup friendly pumpkin spice lattes!! 🍂🎃(just some pumpkin purée and dairy free whip cream 🤫)

Stocked up on some new tasty chews for your pups to try! Everything we carry is all natural! We have options for big and small dogs, light chewers and heavy chewers!

Canvas Art Painting 🖼 in dog daycare from Wednesday was a success! The dogs loved it!

Some of our daycare dogs when they first started vs now 😍

The dogs were zooming💫 playing 👾 slobbering 💦 sniffing & snacking 🍬 today! We had a large play group today of 45 dogs! Today was Scavenger Hunt activity. The dogs are removed from the outdoor play yard while a team member hides treats and spreads them throughout the yard. Once ready we release the dogs to begin the search, they use their noses to find their favorite treats. This stimulates the dogs both mentally and physically and encourages then to use their sense of smell! This is a great activity that can be done indoor/outdoor at home as well to entertain your dog and challenge them, especially during the cold winter season!
