250 lbs of pups… vet day. Gator (previously Butkis) next to his dad at 3 1/2 months old. This boy is going to be huge
Please be sure to chip your pup. I’m hearing more and more stories of activist that lure pups away and take them. Just met a lady who works in a law office where they are seeing the dogs lured, taken and sold in other states.
Tuesday Tip - LGDs may be stolen from ranches by activists or picked up from roadsides by well-meaning individuals. LGDs that are ID chipped will help prove true ownership of the dog if they are turned over to an animal shelter or veterinarian.
Butkis version of kisses lol
We keep trying to come up a new name but he’s kind of a Butkis 😉
All pups from this last litter have new homes except Butkis. We are evaluating him to see if he would be a good service dog and if we have the time this year. Thank you for all of interest but we no longer have any more pups available. They went to some amazing homes. Thank you!
Butkis reaction to a quick stop at Galveston Beach…. I think he actually howled out the words ”I wanna go hommmeeee” lol
I’m Boo-boo but I identify as Zoomy!
Heading to the store is always more fun with this guy ❤️🐶❤️… coming up on 3m old
Butkis: when you’re just that tired!
I think we broke him…
Apollo headed home today. A flock guardian and bff to a teen… we will miss you kid but we are so excited about your new job and family ❤️🐶❤️
Rocky getting in his cuddles after bath time. He actually likes bathes… or maybe he just tolerates them because he knows it leads to being held and that’s a #1 goal for him…❤️ his cuddle time.
Holy cow.. I knew I had a similar image from the first litter but wow that is almost perfect. Even the same area of the kitchen….
1st litter Feb 2022 Vs 2nd litter today
Just a pup and his tractor…
Rocky: first time at the shop and he is already showing he’s pretty bulletproof.
Welder and grinder going off around him with almost no reaction.
Mickey and Adonis went to their forever homes a couple days ago. Mickey will help guard a 35 acre horse, cattle, chicken ranch. Adonis will be working as a service dog for an incredible sweet family. We are so proud of these pups….they found the perfect jobs in life. We hope y’all will keep us updated. We miss you Mickey and Adonis!!
Adrian is headed home with her forever family this morning. Down to the coastal areas of Texas. We love you kiddo and will miss you dearly.
FYI: For pups home or going home I highly recommend the following. Especially if you need to walk away and leave them somewhere.
The cups I bought at Tom Thumb. Rub peanut butter on the inside walls. Will keep them busy for some time and wear them out. They have been to young so far to chew on the cups themselves.
The knuckle bones are $2.99 at Tractor Supply and last forever. Great for adult teeth health also.
The hoof with what I assume is co***ne inside lol 😉 j/k. Is $1.25 at Dollar Tree. The pups would fight over them and I’d have to take them away. I definitely recommend grabbing one of these.
Adrian: being super adorable enjoying the cold tile floor... she goes to her forever home Monday.
Throwback Thursday…2015. When our families obsession with Pyrs started.
Goodnight all…
One of Sugar & Rocky's pups from the 1st litter... King.
Trained as a service dog to come when anyone yelled help. He wore a keyfob on his collar that when pushed would alert a cell phone. Used in case of falls. I think most of these photos are from 2019. He went everywhere.... CA to Virginia, Atlanta Zoo, Tahoe, Arizona...all the kids large track meets. Trained to walk with a wheelchair (even without a lead), load onto multiple style handicap buses, walk next to a scooter. He was incredible and we miss him daily!
Great Pyrenees Puppies.... beautiful day at the park. Tried walking on a lead. Adrian and Mickey picked it up pretty quick. Adonis apparently thinks he still needs to be carried. Had fun in a giant mud puddle! ❤️🐾🐶🐶🐾🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶🐾❤️
Butkis: soaking up the attention! Did great on the lead in the grass but apparently concrete is not his thing because he’d stop and cry until you picked him up at every sidewalk or street.
Apollo, Mickey & Adonis: Field trip to the high school and local Hospice Care center to practice our car ride manners and just be cuddled…a lot! Good day!
Found the video! Some of y’all were asking to see it. This was King. Trained as a service dog to come when someone yelled/whispered help. Watch his reaction to Savannah yelling ”oh help me”.
Mom was Sugar. Dad was Rocky (Pyr with Saint Bernard) not Bodhi our current dad.
Butkis: when you get included in the photo shoot so you make sure to ham it up ❤️🐶❤️
When you have puppies so you take them along for the ride to your daughters photo shoot and they end up with glamour shots of their own ♥️🐾♥️
Road trip to tractor supply for a pigs ear and knuckle bone. Someone needs to invent a portable floor AC. Pyr owners would probably pay good money. I’m sitting here running the car AC to long just because they look so happy and content lol
Roadtripp’n with Butkis and Mason to Savannah’s wildflower photoshoot. Now it’s naptime enjoying the floor AC ❤️
Some cute individual shots…. ❤️
Apparently Mickey is a ham in front of a camera!

Even room for baby Gator on the newly rebuilt jetski… #waterdog #greatpyrenees #1989kawasaki #jetski
Just call me Gator! Galveston, Guadalupe River, baby pool daily, lake…now he loves the jetskis. It was either call them WD (water dawg) or Gator!
The moment you know he’s a little different lol. 17 days old and even though no else’s eye have opened Butkis is found like this…
104 degree day and apparently the floor ac isn’t cutting it. He’s the most vocal pyr we’ve ever had. Sounds like curse words to me lol
I’m pretty sure this is what my sister and I looked like when we were fighting and broke something. They ain’t foolin no one! Somethin is up
Butkis has been working in his service dog training. 1st trip to Wally World ended in an evacuation due to a gas leak! Quite an overwhelming start but he did great. He now knows sit and during huge distraction still managed a shake. Once sis passed her hand down in front of his face he saw the command motion since he was struggling to hear/understand it.
Rocky meeting “his cows” ❤️🐶🐮🐮🐮🐮❤️. Living his best life….getting prepared to take on his role of protecting his cattle and new mom! Go get’m kid! #lovegreatpyrs
Rocky: 1st mirror. Going home today! Went for a pup cup, a store dog treat and one last car ride. Have a beautiful life kid!!! We will miss you.
Don’t let your child or grandchild be the first person to pull your pyr pups ears, put their finger in your pups mouth or pet them hard….test them when they are young. Help them prepare for times they are tired, hot and have their own agenda but still need to stay calm. Butkis is showing how Bulletproof he can be. All he wanted was the AC and a nap but even tested he never got upset, snapped, growled or even really took any of it as more than aggressive petting. Enjoying the attention even though excessive. Way to go Butkis! Hard day and he took it like a pro. The first time I realized the importance of this type of shock…with moments of uncomfortable for these pups was standing in line at Six Flags Atlanta. We were in line for an hour. In the heat. So much confusion for our pup when a young boy came up to us. With no warning he grabbed our pups face by the cheeks, pulled him into his own face and screamed loudly. King did nothing in return. He saw it as play. A service animal will be put in situations where they will be afraid but they CAN NOT react. Help them prepare young. Expose them to as much as you can young and yes extreme play does help make them so much more tolerate adults.
115lb of service dog and he’s being controlled by the softest touch of his “gentle lead”. With an old fashion collar they pull. With a chest collar they have freedom with their head they shouldn’t have in public. With a gentle lead in a fraction of a second you can lead their face away and where their face goes they go. These are priceless to service dog training. So much more effective and gentle. I can’t recommend them enough. Butkis: protecting us all from the swirling paper the storm brought in. LGD in training ;) Get it Butkis!!
Apollo: Bath followed by hogging the blanket during nap time. Love those big ol’feet! (Great Pyrenees extra double dew claws make them look so huge)
9 week old Great Pyrenees puppy enjoying the floor AC after a long day at the shop. Nothing better than floor AC…
