🌽🐍 All About Corn Snakes! 🐍🌽
Are you thinking about getting a corn snake as a pet? These gentle, low-maintenance reptiles are perfect for beginners and experienced owners alike! Here’s everything you need to know about their care and why they’re amazing companions. 👇
🛠️ Basic Care Requirements:
1️⃣ Habitat: A 20-gallon tank is great for one adult corn snake. Make sure it has a secure lid—these little escape artists are sneaky!
2️⃣ Temperature & Humidity: Maintain a temperature gradient of 75–85°F, with a basking spot at 85°F. Humidity should stay around 40–50%.
3️⃣ Substrate: Aspen shavings, cypress mulch, or paper towels work well. Avoid cedar or pine—they can be harmful!
4️⃣ Hides: Provide at least two hides (warm and cool side) for security. 🏡
5️⃣ Diet: Feed appropriately sized frozen/thawed mice 1–2 times a week. NEVER feed live prey unsupervised! 🍽️
6️⃣ Water: Always have fresh water available in a shallow dish.
🌟 Why Corn Snakes Are Awesome:
✅ Docile Nature: They’re super friendly and easy to handle.
✅ Beautiful Colors: From classic orange and red patterns to unique morphs, they’re stunning to look at! 🎨
✅ Low Maintenance: Perfect for busy reptile lovers.
