So is it a fork or a rake? It is a FORAKE!πŸ˜‚.
Needs a bit of getting used to. The only issue is the handle needs to be longer and works best if you are going left to right or right to left.
Will post a video while using soon.
Was getting annoyed picking up rake then fork when cleaning paddocksπŸ˜‚

Henri was kind enough to spare us. Praying everyone else is safe as well. No trees down, power lines good, got power, and Luxury is keeping any eye on things.

So we have been asked about our hay feeders and we thought a few pictures may help if you are interested. Now this is not necessary (not a slow feeder-but can be made into one) but we like to have them in both our grass and sand paddocks. It helps with not having hay blowing around in wind, cleaning, and waste (assuming horses do not like to throw it around 😞).
This is made from 1 pressure treated 2X12 and 1X6 fence material. We like to use old broken fence beams as it saves on cost.
The 2X12 is cut into four 28" pieces and two 16" pieces. You will then need six 2ft long fence pieces and nine 3ft long fence pieces
You can do this with nails but we prefer deck screws as they hold longer and are more sturdy. We also make sure the screw heads work from inside out and are just slightly recessed. Additionally it is just high enough off the ground to use rake underneath without having to lift up, side gaps allow you to see if there is hay inside without being on top of box, slats at bottom allow water and fine hay to fall through, and finally is is just slightly above ground level to keep natural eating position for horse.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. I know this has been a difficult year with all the rules and procedures we have had to implement, but I wanted to say a BIG thank you, especially, to our clients and staff for following the rules. We just have a little while longer before we can get a vaccine so please continue the mask, hand washing, and distancing.
THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN and have a safe New Year from Lexie, Jeffrey, Nicole, Jay, Dacia, Ashley, Lex, Renee, Patty, & Heather
