Update on Logan: he did indeed need a second surgery and had that this week. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything holds…gum surgeries are difficult. We are eternally grateful to the nice folks at mansfield animal clinic for doing such a great job for him. As you can see, he also got “the good drugs”.

DFW BB alum Butterscotch recently crossed the rainbow bridge. She was lucky to have found a wonderful family and spent the past 11 years being spoiled and adored. She was a great girl who was the perfect mix of well-behaved and spunky. She will truly be missed!

Happy Sunday from Logan! I know some of you have been anxious to know if he’s ready for adoption, but we are currently in a holding pattern to see if he will need another surgery on his mouth, or if it will heal without that. We will keep you updated! In the meantime, have you ever considered fostering yourself? We provide all medical care, you provide a loving home until a forever family becomes available! Former Beagle Buddy Onyx says “it’s HOW early??”
It’s time to get up and give! Today is the last day to donate for North Texas Giving Day, our biggest fundraiser of the year. Your donation helps us save dogs like Onyx, who, despite not having the traditional beagle coloring, is actually 42% beagle (and she has the dna test to prove it!) Onyx needed expensive heartworm treatment when she came to us and we were able to provide it thanks to our wonderful donors. Travis, (adopted August 12, 2024) really enjoys the very large and very comfortable dog bed at his new home…that is, when he’s not sleeping on the couch or chasing squirrels in the backyard.

DFW BB Alum Winnie (now Gracie)'s mom shared with us that she recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She said, "Winnie/Gracie escaped within a few hours of arriving here and was rescued swiftly… and she had many more escapes after that too! She spent about 5 years as my store dog so she would go to work with me every day and spent her days in the store. She would get treats from the UPS/FedEx drivers as well as all my staff. She had a good life 🙏 I miss her and will remember her sweet face."

The 9 dogs we took in yesterday are settling into their foster homes and getting to know their foster siblings. Lilith is particularly interested in this pup. (We won’t tell her if you won’t.) 😉
