Sorry I haven't posted a showcase rider in a couple weeks. This is Lilian Elizabeth Shank and has been riding with me right about 2 months. She is doing so great. She is riding all my advanced horses and learning how to become a barrel racer. She is learning how to train barrel horses along with how to ride them correctly. Our next video of her will be on the barrel pattern 🙂
Her story:
"I've been riding since I was a child, I showed paints in my youth years, this is my first time really getting into barrels and poles, I'm having a fantastic time learning under you:)" - Lilian
This week's showcase rider is Barbara McWilliams. Barbara has always had a love for horses. Any chance she has to get on a horse, she takes it. Most of the chances she got was trail rides while on vacations, and that wasn't enough. Her goal is to own her own horses someday and wants to be more comfortable around them and riding them. She has been riding with me for a little over 1 month and is doing wonderfully. She can safely lope circles while being in full control. I'm proud of how well you're doing and for pushing yourself to be a better rider.
This week's showcase rider is Sophia Prose. She rode English style riding when growing up and has made the change over to the western life recently as an adult. She has been doing amazing and putting in hard work to become better every week. This video was her 4th lesson to ride western. Im very proud of how well she is riding.
Here is Anna riding Creek. He is 6 yr old gelding who has been in the lesson program for around a year. She has done a wonderful job helping him grow and learn.
It takes dedication and passion to be good at something. When it's under 40° outside I leave it up to the rider/parent if they still want to do the lesson. My student this morning, Charlotte, didn't let the cold stop her. 32° outside (wind chill 18°) and she never complained once. She had a wonderful lesson working with my new horse addition, Tex.
