He's awake and he's ready to party.
Bones just finished up his surgery and is in recovery and feeling fantastic. So grateful for the skilled surgical hands of Dr. Jordan and Dr. Alyssa at Phillips Animal Hospital.
The next 24-48 hours post-surgery are the most critical to his recovery - so he's not completely out of the woods just yet - but we are breathing a huge sigh of relief right now that he is up and breathing on his own.

No leg? No problem.
Riggins (formerly Custard) is absolutely ROCKING the tri-pawed life. β€οΈ
Best. Family. Ever. π₯Ήπ
Freshly adopted Custard has a posse. Check 'em out!!! β€οΈππ
Just a reminder that the purpose of this video is to show you the absolute preciousness. Please do not ask when and if the puppies will be available as they were just freshly hatched. When they are ready, we will let you know.π£π£π£
-----------------
Good golly this is the cutest thing we've seen in a long long time.
Our foster shared a video of Jasmine, one of our recently seized dogs that had puppies in her foster home.
We're pretty sure there's no greater compliment or show of trust than a dog delivering its puppies to your lap.

These dogs are not ready...yet. But they are also no longer living in a basement, waiting to be "rescued." They're with us and we assure you they are in very loving hands. To be clear, this is a "before" video.
We are currently dealing with coccidia and worms, which isn't unusual when so many dogs were caged together. π We're taking care of it. β€οΈ
Wow, what a week. π₯Ή
Does this make you sad? Angry? Sick? We are right there with you. No dog deserves to live life like this.
Please understand that our humane agents do not make the laws. We can only enforce the ones that exist. Laws in our state and specifically our community require absolutely bare minimum in terms of what qualifies for food/water/shelter. Our humane agents cannot enforce laws that do not exist. To be clear, Goddards Law is designed to increase penalties to offenders. In Richland County, it is NOT illegal for a dog to live outside.
We are working to change that. Mansfield desperately needs to implement anti-tethering laws so that life on the chain can end. We are passionate about this and hope that, with the help of our community, we can make positive change in 2023.
Stay tuned...β€οΈ
Laszlo, the little tail wagger. β€οΈ
It's now been 4 months since we removed 17 dogs from an absolutely disgusting, condemnable basement. We still have 2 dogs left and they are patiently waiting for lives, their real lives, to begin.
Boris (English Shepherd mix)and Maxwell (Lab/shepherd mix) are available now. To see their complete profiles and photos, go to www.adoptourstrays.com/ouranimals/adoptables
This is a video of the conditions they were found in. These images still haunt us. π
Fir your viewing pleasure:
We could watch this for hours, but here is 17 seconds of David watching a battery powered butterfly go in circles. π¦
You're welcome. π
wobbles
Yes, it makes us sad too.
Wobbles and Bobbles are our dynamic duo boys with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. They have a very severe case of it which seriously affects their mobility. This condition is caused by an underdeveloped cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls movement.
They are tipsy and topsy turvy but also very, very resourceful. They can use a litterbox and eat on their own - BUT it will take a very, very, VERY special person or family to adopt these two. Minor modifications in home will be needed (baby gates to keep them from stairs so they don't hurt themselves).
CH babies can lead long, full lives. These two deserve it. They are the sweetest littlest guys and they just want love. β€
Interested or know someone who might be? Please have them call us at 419-774-4795 or fill out an application directly one at www.adoptourstrays.com/ouranimals/adoptables. We are in Ontario, Ohio and would drive just about anywhere to help them find the perfect home.
We are profoundly grateful to Richland County Foundation for the grant funding to make this video that tells our story and DRM Productions for telling it so perfectly.
Along with every other business, 501c3 non-profits like ours are currently struggling with funding. We hope you will consider supporting us in any way you can: Donate money or supplies, adopt a new best friend, or volunteer your time and talents. We need you. π₯°
