He's currently being fostered until he gets the "all clear" for adoption by Doctor Alyssa. His appointment is Tuesday.

I should have known better than to foster a black kitten. Black cats are THE BEST, and it's going to be hard to let this guy go. He's so perfect. 🖤

Full disclosure...

We hate operating from a place of scarcity...but unfortunately that is oftentimes the reality of a non profit that exists ENTIRELY on donations.

We took in 7 new cats today...to add to the 60+ we already have...and we won't even mention the dogs right now, the decline of adoptions, or the halt of donations. 🥹

Yikes.

But right now...our cupboards are almost bare. We need cat food REALLY bad, and we really really really need Frontline Plus Flea and Tick treatment for the many dogs in our care.

SHARE PLEA!!!!!!

Desperately searching for a lifeline for Creek. 🥹

This very sweet, six month old kitten has had a rough go of things. He was heavily infested with maggots and, as a result, suffered extreme tissue and nerve damage that his back legs and his ability to potty "challenging." He scoots so he's not entirely immobile, but his back legs don't really cooperate. Poor guy. He's been in a loving foster but now he needs a permanent situation.

Creek will need to be a diaper baby and live away from stairs. Think (small) childproof home.

This is our ONLY option for Creek. We need a unicorn. We really need a unicorn.

Emil. 🩵🩵🩵

This very sweet boy came to us back in July and has literally had zero interest. We took him to our adoption partners at petsmart thinking that he just needed fresh eyes on him. Nothing.

Emil is so sweet and affectionate and he would be a great only pet. He lived with other cats, but they didn't always get along, and wnd we just don't want to set him up for failure again. He's so sweet. He's only 2 years young and he deserves to be curled up on the couch, chilling with his people.

When we say foster fail, we mean it in the most affectionate way. 💓

Second foster fail of the day, and we are here for it.

Nacho was a teeny tiny very injured stray when he came to us. His foster family nursed him back to health and cared for his very infected back leg that doctors thought they would have to amputate. Surprisingly, the leg healed.

Less surprising, Nacho's foster family fell in love with him and decided that they wanted to make it a permanent situation.

Congratulations! We absolutely love this. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

464 days. 😭

That's how long Trip has been in our care.

Scratch that. Make it 462 days.

We are over the moon, excited, grateful, blown away, overwhelmed, did i mention GRATEFUL, that our best, best, goodest boy Trip was adopted over the weekend.

His owners want to keep it low key, but we want to shout it from the rooftops. TRIP WAS ADOPTED.

He is doing great in his new home. Walks. Love. Sleeping in a human bed.

Trip came to us from a "house of horrors" in July 2023, along with 10 other dogs. We vowed to keep him loved and safe in our care until we found him the best and most perfect home. But shelter is NOT home. Trip now has a home of his own. Finally.

The happiest, most grateful bittersweet (but mostly sweet) tears for this very special boy.

Congratulations, Trip. You've come a long way, baby. 🥹🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Mind if I brag on YOU for a minute?

This is Bones. He had MAJOR surgery last week, skillfully and lovingly performed by Dr. Alyssa and Dr. Jordan.

Bones spent the weekend recovering at the vet's office, and stole the hearts of every single person on staff at Phillips Animal Hospital while he was there. Today, he came back into our care to continue his healing for the next week or so. He's not available for adoption just yet.

Guys, YOU did this. You made this little guy's quality of life a billion times better. We asked for donations for his surgery and YOU delivered. You deliver every single time we ask. 🥹

YOU made this surgery possible, and because of YOU, Bones is literally breathing a whole lot easier now.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. ❤️❤️❤️

This is so random, but one of our staff members had this beautiful dog jump into her car this morning. Neutered male. Chilton Avenue.

This beautiful and very sweet girl has been with us for several weeks and has gotten exactly no interest. She came to us from our friends at Forgotten Felines after being part of a cat colony that just kept reproducing. We are grateful for their organization's effort to break the cycle of cat overpopulation.
