These two 😍
Dr. Alyssa performed a tail and leg amputation on beautiful Alexis. She is so incredibly attentionate and a purr machine! I'm not sure she ever stopped "making biscuits" or purring except when she was under anesthesia. Such a happy little kitten.

We are a day late for National Cat Day (Aug 8th) but please enjoy these pictures of our two current office cats.

On the Left, B.C. has been with us several years, she is a sassy, chunky, tri-pod girl and we love her so much. Her most favorite things in the world are cheese and sleeping. 🧀💤

Then we have Morticia (aka Morty, aka Baby B.C.). She was left here in a pet carrier on July 3rd with a leg injury that we have been treating. At this point is is unclear if we will need amputate her infected leg, but it's a good possibility. As she starts to feel better she has become quite active and playful. She likes to be picked up and carried around and will purr like crazy.

💔 The Parvovirus has hit both our local shelters. Both the Humane Society of Richland County and the Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Shelter are sparing no expense to try to save these little lives that came into their shelters with this deadly virus. Parvo treatment is very expensive but can also be prevented with appropriate vaccines.
Parvovirus vaccines should (at minimum) be given at 8weeks, 12weeks and 16weeks of age. Your puppy is not fully protected until all 3 vaccines are completed.

Bernie and Turtle came to see us today. These pups were taken in by the Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Shelter, severely underweight and malnourished. After an exam with Dr. Jordan, they got some love from our staff.

This adorable kitten was abandoned in a carrier at the downstairs entrance on 7-3-24. She had a severely swollen leg, that was caused by an abscess. We are currently treating her condition and giving her lots of love. We would like to find a good indoor home for her. If you would like to meet her just give us a call. 419 526 4212 (option 4).

Willett came in with a backpack today, so naturally we took pictures. Then we opened the backpack to find a mini stuffed chick and our hearts melted! 😍 We can't handle this cuteness.

Important announcement*

Due to recent changes with staffing and doctor availability, beginning June 15th we are no longer able to offer weekend emergency appointments. We will still have a veterinarian on call from 8am-9pm that you can call for a consultation if you have an emergency with your pet. The doctor can assess the situation over the phone and help determine if your pet needs immediate care at an emergency clinic or if they are stable enough to wait until our next available appointment on our next business day. We understand this isn't ideal, but please be patient with us. We hope to return to offering ER weekend appointments when we have adequate staffing. Thanks for your understanding.
