"Ranger" came to see us this morning for his first puppy visit. His owners are getting him off to a good start with preventative care and necessary puppy vaccines. We are excited to see this handsome boy grow!

It's a sad day today as we say goodbye to our technician Lexi...."Lexi Lou" "Pip". Today is her last day with us here at South Creek as she pursues her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is off to study at Purdue University Biochemistry with Pre-Veterinary Concentration. She started at South Creek 3 1/2 years ago working as a kennel tech, filled in in reception and most recently as a technician. She's always been a hard worker and willing and eager to learn new things. We know she will do great in the next chapter of her education. We will miss you Lou!!

Starting on August 1, 2024, dogs entering or returning to the United States must meet new, specific requirements depending on where they have been in the 6 months before entering the U.S. and where they received their rabies vaccines (if required).

Did you know that cats can be at risk of parasites whether they're indoor or outdoor pets? Fleas, ticks, mange mites, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms can all infest cats.
Many of your “cheap” over the counter flea and tick products contain insecticides. This is what is toxic to your cat. Flea collars and powders are also generally made from insecticides. They are not very effective at killing fleas and even less effective with ticks. The products that our hospital carries have undergone extensive testing and are shown to be effective in killing fleas and ticks yet also safe for your pets.
We offer several options for you to protect your feline friends such as Nexgard Combo and Revolution Plus. Both of these are topical and are applied once per month and kills and prevents fleas and ticks and acts as a monthly dewormer. We also carry Seresto collars which repels and kills fleas and ticks for 8 months with a scent-free, break away collar.
Talk to our veterinary staff today to discuss what options might be for your cat.
