Sunshine loves to play catch. She's doing amazing after her wing amputation. It's as if that wing never existed. She looks like she has a mini wing. My sweet Sunshine 💜

Carnita and Pernil had thier vet appt yesterday. The ladies there LOVE our babies! Hooves trimmed and wellness checku. They are on point with there weight and all else.

Valkyrie was neutered, immunized and microchipped today. Dr said he's approx 4 months old and is overall in great health. Our sweet baby boy found his way to us and now will live a happy life with all his critter brothers and sisters💜 Such a handsome boy

Newest member of the Misfit Manor Family!! Lets welcome Valkyrie💜Now Bellatrix has a brother to play with!!! He was found wandering all alone in a bar close to viking fest at Valkyrie Ranch. Sure enough when we found out we had to help him and give him a happy home.

We rescued this little baby Blue Jay a few days ago. She had fallen out her nest and was in poor shape when I was called. She was on the ground without moving for over 9 hours when i was called and covered in flies. I asked tgem to put her in a box and quickly went to get her. With lots of TLC she seems to be recovering well. I honestly didn't think she would would make it through the first night. Surprise! We still have concerns though. She has a wonky wing and is still not eating like she should but we are doing our best and are very hopeful for a full recovery and release. Let's welcome "Sky" to Misfit Manor!!!!

Another Amazing weekend at Fair with our beautiful Sunshine. She's adjusting very well with her one wing. She has an appt on Wednesday to see how she's healing and HOPEFULLY can get rid of that awful cone.

Sunshine loved her first Fair experience!!! She's a true Pirate bird now. She dance and sang to all the music playing and LOVED all the attention. I'm so proud of our baby.

Sunshine is doing GREAT today. Vet says her incision looks good and put new bandages in. As you can see she is moving around nicely and being more herself every day.

Sunshines amputation surgery went well. She came home and was herself but when I woke up this morning she took off her bandage and tore out her stitches. She's back at the vet. They don't recommend using a collar but I don't think we have a choice. 😔

She did get her wing amputated. She will have balance issues for a while. I'm so happy she's no longer in pain but our journey is just beginning. Sunshine is now a beautiful one winged Macaw. She did very well in surgery. The tumor was located in a tricky spot and it would've been too risky to try to save the wing. Now to focus on her new life without that painful tumor and learning to live with her 1 wing. My beautiful Sunshine 🌞

Dropped off my baby Sunshine at the vet for her surgery today. After a thorough exam they told me there is a 90% chance of wing amputation. My heart is aching right now I can't stop these tears.

Pernil is ready for his vet visit today. Our boy will be neutered today. We all hope the surgery goes well and he's back home to us asap!
