It's a great reminder that pets need extra care during freezing temperatures. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe:

Bring Them Inside: Pets are vulnerable to hypothermia and frostbite. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.
Limit Outdoor Time: If they need to go outside, keep it short and monitor them closely.

Bundle Up: Consider sweaters or jackets for pets, especially short-haired breeds.

Check Their Paws: Ice, salt, and antifreeze can irritate or harm their paws. Wipe them down after being outside.
Provide Warm Shelter: If pets must stay outside, ensure they have a warm, insulated shelter with plenty of dry bedding.

Beware of Antifreeze: It’s toxic but tempting due to its sweet taste. Clean up spills immediately.
Hydration and Nutrition: Cold weather burns extra energy, so ensure they have enough food and unfrozen water.
Stay safe and keep your furry friends warm!

On August 14, 2024, at approximately 12:52 PM, two male individuals arrived at Manvel City Hall in a late-model SUV. These individuals as seen in the video left an adult male brown dog with a City employee before departing. We are seeking assistance from the public in identifying these individuals. If you recognize them or have any information, please contact Animal Control Officer Sherman at the Manvel Police Department by calling 281-489-1212. We have some questions we would like to ask them.
