Pets Under Police Security

Pets Under Police Security Pets Under Police Security is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. PLEASE do not transport a stray pet out of the city it was found in.

Pets Under Police Security (PUPS) is the animal holding facility for Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Crystal, Maple Grove, New Hope and Plymouth. All animals must be brought in to our facility by an officer, we are unable to take in any pets directly from the public. If you have found a stray pet, please contact the local Police Department of the city the pet was found in to have it pick

ed up. An owner will be best able to find their pet if it is being held at the impound facility for the city it was lost in. The owner may not even think to check with other organizations (like Animal Humane Society) and may not be reunited with their pet if it isn't at the correct facility. If your pet goes missing, it is best to call PUPS to report it right away. You can also report your lost pet here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe701lKArEeJ36ybpVqZV4xRylM2U3Jm7gH8gbXRvniOXnJVA/viewform We will post new incoming strays on this page as quickly as we can, but they may not get posted the day they come in. If your pet is in our care and it came in from any of the listed cities besides Maple Grove, be sure to go to that city with proof of ownership and current Rabies vaccine to take care of any fees before coming to PUPS. We will need the paperwork you receive from the city in order to release your pet. If your pet was brought in from Maple Grove - proof of ownership, current Rabies vaccine info and fees will be collected at PUPS. All stray pets are held for five business days. Unclaimed pets will then be made available for transfer to an approved rescue organization. PUPS is not set up to do adoptions, but if you are interested in adopting a pet at our facility you can click the link to get the document with contact info for the approved rescues that are willing to help you foster or adopt a pet that is currently at PUPS: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uBH69IaSiE4RqLwFoOkkrEJor3oh-Em4/view?fbclid=IwAR3m-Brs9e3DWlnsSzOPkor0geH7_mL6iiFOfXIo-HEL5YVeFhXUnfmNcDs
