Petunia Donkey PETUNIA THE PONY PROTECTOR. Hi! I’m Petunia Donkey. I live at Casey's Safe Haven where my job, whi They were rescued and came to live at Casey's Safe Haven.

Petunia Donkey lives at Casey's Safe Haven Holistic Horse Rescue and Sanctuary Maple Park, IL. Petunia was rescued from a situation where there were far too many animals living in undesirable conditions. Petunia was adopted from Casey's by Marc and Luis at Rustic Road Farm. Her new job was going to be to guard their sheep and goats from the coyotes, but unfortunately, Petunia did not care for shee

p and goats and let them know. So, it was decided that Petunia should return back to Casey's Safe Haven. Casey's has a herd of elderly ponies who were rescued from the pony ride facility where they spent most of their years "working the wheel", giving rides to little kids. When the ponies were no longer able to perform the work expected of them, they were discarded. Petunia, upon her return to Casey's, immediately decided to join the pony herd and took it upon herself to be their Guard Donkey, herding them, protecting them, and keeping them safe from coyotes.

As our previous posts explained, after I saw Prince very much eyeing one of our still inflated, still intact balls, I wasted no time warning him to not go and destroy yet another ball.

But Prince, he was no having part of it.

Prince: "I object!!!! Object! Object! Object!!!!
Mitch: "Dude, you only need one objection."
Prince: "Object! Object! Object"
Mitch: "Plz state the nature of your objection."
Prince: "******** ********** ************ and the horse you rode in on!!"
Mitch: "Sir, that is not a legal objection."
Prince: "Your evidence is strictly circumstantial. You have zero proof that I, Sir Prince, have destroyed or in any way damaged any ball, ever. Object! Object! Object!"
Mitch: "I have your DNA slobber all over the last ball you destroyed."
Prince: "Object! Object! Object! You did not use an authorized testing laboratory, you did not use proper DNA collection procedures.........I saw all this on a recent Matlock episode......I object! Object! Object, you ********** ************!!"
Mitch: "No more TV for you."

My Story

Hi. I’m Petunia Donkey. I live at Casey's Safe Haven Holistic Horse Rescue and Sanctuary, in Maple Park, IL. I was rescued from a situation where there were far too many animals living in poor conditions. I came to Casey’s skinny and scared, but the Angels of Casey’s fed me, gave me my very own clean and cozy stall, took care of my needs and wrapped me up in love. After feeling better, I was adopted from Casey's by Marc and Luis at Rustic Road Farm in Elburn, IL. My new job was to guard their sheep and goats from the coyotes, but unfortunately, I do not care for sheep and goats and was maybe a little cranky to them to make sure this was clear. So, I came to Casey's Safe Haven once again. I am now the official “Guard Donkey” of Casey’s Safe Haven. I will live happily ever after at Casey’s with this most important job!
