Traverse City Spring II was a week of growth, new experiences, and, equally important, fun for Loula and Summerfield’s Stardust! 💫 Loula continues to amaze us with her work ethic and appreciation for her perfect pony! 🦄 The pair won one of their over fences classes today and ended up earning the champion ribbon in the Crossrails Hunter division. Congratulation, Loula!

Kortex and Monique Mahler made their trip in the rain and chilly temperatures count yesterday, laying down a fast double clean to win the Pre-Child/Adult jumper classic!🥇🥳🙌 Their first of many classic wins as a pair! Congratulations!

A 🥇🥈 finish rounded out our 2023 Florida show season!

and Grisu 427 won the .85m classic today, with and Kortex finishing in 2nd by just .7 of a second! Rylie and Gerry also ended up champion in the .85m jumper division.

The boys weren’t feeling like smiling for their picture today - but regardless, it needed to happen. 😂

Congratulations to all our on a fantastic season. 💙 Now - a couple of weeks of turnout and trail rides before we head home!

WEF 2023 is a wrap! 🎬 Grateful to our team - clients, grooms, sponsors, parents, cheering squads, vets, farriers, emotional support dogs, and everyone else who helped make it a great one. We accomplished our goals, had a lot of fun, and are set up to head into our summer season strong! 💪

Most of all, thank you to our incredible horses who make all this possible. ❤️

Looking forward to one more month in the ☀️ before we head back to IL 🔜!

Rainy days in Florida call for:

Days like this remind us amidst a busy show season to take a step back and enjoy our horses in the barn as well as under saddle. Truly no day spent at the barn is a day wasted!

A brand new sparky bonnet brought Lisa Dudash and her new mount, Grappa, luck in their first outing together this afternoon! 💎✨

The pair navigated 2 clean rounds in the .80m jumpers with a smooth, efficient jump off to boot - ending up 6th. Nice work, ladies! 🙌

The Glenwood gals killed it this week at ! aboard Grisu 427 won her first ever WEF blue ribbon🥇in the .90 Low Child/Adult Jumper, and ended up reserve champion in the division!

and Kortex stuck to the plan and delivered a smooth double clear round in the .80m Child/Adult Jumpers to end up 5th!

Proud of these ladies and their hard work! Looking forward to ! 🤩🤩🤩

This morning, these gals braved the cool fall temps this for a fun (and challenging!) cavaletti lesson. And they knocked it out of the park! 🍁🍃🍂

During the fall typically take a step back from showing and spend time focusing on flatwork and position over rails and small fences. And while it’s a nice reset for both our horses and riders, make no mistake: cavaletti lessons are low impact, but they’re definitely not easy! 💪

What’s been extra fun this year is having some of our dressage friends join us for some cross training with their horses! Looking forward to more days like these before we head ⬇️ to Florida!

Looking for a stellar Junior/AO jumper or Children's/Adult Jumper? We have two! Dutch Design: The sweetest Children's or Low Junior/AO jumper there ever was. 2008 Dutch warmblood by Numero Uno. Kind enough to be a kid or an adult's first jumper, but competitive enough to win at WED, Kentucky, Traverse City, etc. Took his last rider straight off of ponies to the low junior jumpers in less than a year! Grappa: Super Medium Junior/AO jumper. 2011 KWPN mare by Bodinus. Brave, scopey, and game. The perfect horse to move up on. Also simple enough to show a more inexperienced rider the ropes, while having the scope to keep moving up the ranks. Her last rider was champion at WEF her first week riding her. Do you know what ingredients are in your horse’s fly spray?? 🦟🚫 Conventional animal grooming products (and fly sprays in particular) have some pretty sketchy ingredients that can cause undesirable side effects. Today we go in to that a bit (really, it’s just scratching the surface 😳) and then talk about one of my favorite alternatives - @theinfusedequestrian ‘s SWAT (link is in my bio if you want to check it out!) Remember - little things and healthier swaps add up over time, and can help both our horses and us as riders feel and perform our best.
