…at the Blood Bank! 🧛♂️
All jokes aside, we urgently need superheroes to join our team. Our Animal Blood Bank’s inventory is running low, and we need your help to keep it stocked for pets in need.
Just like people, animals experience emergencies, require surgeries, and face serious health conditions that often call for blood transfusions. This is why NorthStar VETS hosts a dedicated Animal Blood Bank, allowing us to have life-saving blood on hand for our patients.
As some of our loyal donors ‘age out’ of the program, we’re reaching out with an URGENT CALL to the community for new members. By volunteering your pet, or sharing this need with others, you become part of a lifeline for critical patients. Countless animals rely on the kindness and courage of donors to survive, and your act of generosity can make all the difference.

We now offer Extracorporeal Therapies (ECT) at our Robbinsville location! These therapies are used to support or replace the function of organs or systems, especially when they are not working properly. The approach is similar to that used in human medicine, aiming to remove harmful substances or toxins from the animal's bloodstream.
ECT can treat life-threatening toxicities such as antifreeze, lily intoxication in cats, wild mushrooms and more! It can also be used for accidental drug overdose (such as NSAIDs) or heart disease that is no longer responsive to medications.
If you have any questions regarding our ECT services, give us a call at (609) 259-8300

Success Story: Cookie (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever)
Meet Cookie! 🍪 A 3 -year-old mixed breed who was transferred to our Emergency/Critical Care Department in a state of partial coma and hardly reacting to any stimuli. Ultimately, it was found that she has a tickborne illness called Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
Although Cookie had to spend close to 2 weeks in the hospital with our Emergency/Critical Care Team, she was finally able to go back home to her family. Despite the prolonged stay and critical illness, she never gave up and has since made a complete recovery!
