Yelena and Willow
These two have something special.
Willow loving in Yelena
Willow helped support Yelena today, as she had her first ride.
It’s that time of year again where we open our hearts and wallets to set up WRER for the winter. Every year we take in and re-home some of the most amazing creatures on this planet. But we can’t do that without your support! With the support of the WRER family we have been able to complete 4 heavy use areas with shelter for this winter and enough hay to feed all the horses through spring? None of this could be done without all of you!
Thank you Robyn Blair for the new arena rake! Trying to dry out and level the round pen.
Distractions while working on Yelena hooves.
Moonshine: First refresher ride tonight! Took a few laps but, in the end, he did wonderful.
Nala:
Finally back out with her Yakima sister and IMMEDIATELY start aggressively grooming. Think they missed each-other?
Yelena:
Yelena has been making huge strides this week. Including being in her own heavy use area and taking her first treat! She is coming around nicely and is very intelligent.
In other news, Athena is learning how to open a chest freezer.
Donations needed!!! Vet bill is $1000
Thank you to our amazing vets over at Northwest equine for coming out so late on a Thursday night to look at our sweet Nala.
Nala has a softball size lump on her left side of her face which was not present Thursday morning. As of right now we are waiting test results back for a full panel to hopefully tell us why this sweet girls face is swollen. We have ruled out abscess and trauma such as a kick but still unsure what is going on.
Any and all donations go directly to Nalas vet bills. If you would like to donate directly to our vet you can call Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates and pay them via over the phone under our account. We also have PayPal, venmo, and cash or checks work! We appreciate all the help we can get!

Hoof wall so overgrown it’s sloughing off.
Bidding on the 4 year old mare.
Farrier today. Everyone looks good, including Athena! We’ve worked hard for the last couple months to get her hoof to heal. Today she was able to go out with the other horses for the first time!
