🚨‼️BEING EUTHANIZED IF NOT RESCUED!🚨‼️Soon her incredibly sad story will have a tragic ending. She is pleading for us to not let that happen. Sweet 8 year old, 50lb was found on the streets in 2016 as an overbred mommy who was discarded like trash after just giving birth. She was brought to the shelter as a stray. At some point she was adopted. Fast forward to NOW 6 years later, she was found AGAIN on the streets in JULY 2022 as a stray with old scars all over her head, chest and front legs. Open wounds to her abdomen and left axillary. ALL FOUR PAWS severely burned with skin sloughing off. In her 8 years of life she has been the victim of abuse and neglect. Poor Dakota will soon take her last breath never hearing the words “I love you”. She will never get to experience human kindness or compassion. She has been sitting in a cage hidden away in the back of the shelter where she cries all day and night. The video is heart wrenching to watch. To read her story and watch her videos, you can’t help but ask….why hasn’t this poor girl found her happy ending yet? It’s been 5 long months 😢

Today is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. 💜 Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the attack.

There is nothing more lonely than growing old alone 💔

Our first holiday drive is for Parkside Retirement Community (Assisted Living) in Auburn. A friend of mine volunteers every year and arranges for a holiday drive for the guests residing at this home. It is unacceptable - the majority of people in this home have no visitors all year long and receive no gifts. In fact, many arrive without any personal belongings including basic needs like socks, robes, and coats.

This year, she is arranging for new socks, fuzzy blankets, stuffed animals (the memory care patients cling to their furry friends) large print word search books, slippers and robes for men and women. This will be the only Christmas event this facility will have and she is single-handedly organizing and gathering gifts for each resident. We helped with this event last year and every single resident received more than one item. My goal this year is that every resident receives one of each item mentioned above.

We will be collecting items for the event through December 15th. No food, candy or treats are allowed. Bring items here to the shop by the 15th and we’ll get them all to Beth to be delivered to the facility.

There are 80 people we are trying to bless. We don’t need anything expensive ❤️. I know there are tons of holiday drives all pulling at your heart strings.
