Lake Country Veterinary Care is a multi-doctor practice located in the Fingerlakes of Central New York. We are here to treat the dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and pocket pets of Marcellus, NY, and surrounding areas. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, X-rays, ultrasound, in-house lab, soft tissue surgery, dental procedures, pain management, and rehabilita

tion including laser therapy, rehab therapy modalities, and disease-modifying osteoarthritis drugs. We are open five days a week and pride ourselves in having served our community for over 35 years thanks to the quality medicine and our exceptional staff.

Please join us in congratulating our girls, Jadyn and Ava! 🎉 These hard-working, animal-loving, exceptional human beings are off to college this fall ❤️🐦🍊🧡 We’ve truly enjoyed working along side them for the past few years. They filled an important role as ‘closers’- clocking in after school to restock, clean and reset the hospital 🧼 so we can keep helping as many animals as possible 🫶🏻 Good luck, ladies- we know you’re going to do great things!!

Please help us reunite this sweet lady back with her owner. She was found on Otisco Valley Road just outside of Amber around 8:30am to 9:00am this morning. She has no microchip but is very nice. 𝙷𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚏𝚎𝚕𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚝 𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚢? 🌞 Now is a good time to reflect on how important it is to keep our furry friends well hydrated💧Pets should have full access to fresh water at all times as it does not take much for a pet to become dehydrated- even in mild weather. Pet fountains, ice cubes and adding moisture to their food are just a few tricks to add hydration. ⚠️░W░░A░░R░░N░░I░░N░░G░⚠️ signs of dehydration can be loss of appetite, excessive panting, lethargy, dry/sticky gums, loss of skin elastcity and more.
𝓕𝓾𝓷 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚃𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙸𝙲: your pet's body is made up of 80% water while human bodies are only 55-60% 💦
