UKI Agility trial in Brooks, OR at EK9 Agility Arena.

Just got Course Designer Bill Pinder's courses, and they are gonna be fun! It's going to be a low key trial, with cool weather this weekend. Undercover, on groomed dirt. The arena is 60 x 100. Regular titling is $16 and Master Series will be $36.

Weave Pole 101 Thursdays 8-9 PM Arena in Brooks, OR. 5 sessions/$125. Class size is limited to 4 working spots.

The first of the single subject classes. This class is about teaching the weave poles from the beginning. Dogs must be over 12 months old to start. At the end of the class, your dog should be able to do 6 weaves (with wires).

Classes will be held on:
May 16
May 23
May 30
June 6
June 13
& if needed, a make up class on June 27.

Please make sure you are available to attend all classes including the makeup class.

Helpful to have availability to wires, 2 x 2's and a cone/wing wrap to practice outside of class.

Jump Grids (3 weeks); Start TBD

Agility Fun Run: April 20, 2024 in Brooks, OR. Sign up for a time slot (1.5-2.0 hours). Two 2 minute runs for $20. Toys & Food encouraged. Ask if you need a judge or ring crew.

A full standard course will be set up with nested jumpers/tunnel course available. Course will include an option for 6 poles (can be channels) or 12 straight poles. We will also have a puppy area with foundation equipment.

All equipment is safe, and competition ready, with anti-slip tunnels, PVC jumps and rubberized contacts.

When someone tells me their dog is manipulating them all I can do is roll my eyes 🙄 I am always blaming myself if my dogs can’t do something, I’ve not trained it correctly or I’ve not understood that particular dogs needs or how they learn. I have never trained 2 of my dogs the same. They all learn differently and need us to try our hardest to understand them. Im not saying im perfect and have never got frustrated but i don’t take it out on or blame my dogs, only myself. Not every dog can be a world champion but i always just want to get the best out of each one 💜

POP-UP WORKSHOPS!!

Due to a few changes in this Saturday’s workshop schedule, I have decided to offer a weave pole workshop as well as the already scheduled Handling workshop.

There are a few openings in the Beginning Handling workshop. In this workshop only jumps and tunnels are used. The focus will be on teaching independent performances, side changes, and send-and-go! Cost is $75.00
9:00am to around 11:00am

Weave Poles from A to Z
This workshop will focus on all aspects of the weaves. We will look at how to obtain strong entrances, exits, and independence. We will discuss and learn reinforcement strategies to help strengthen the weave behavior without overworking our dog. This workshop is also open to those just learning how to weave, we will start at the very beginning and build up to a full channel building strong entrances as we progress. Channels, 2 x 2's, and straight poles will be used.$75.00
