It’s weighing day!! Today the kits averaged out at 385.5 g. The kits are officially five weeks old. Right now it looks like I have two bucks and at least one doe. The other two I’m not sure about, but next week is the week when I should be able to tell for sure. I’ll keep everyone posted!

These were the kits when they were almost a full week old. They were still blind and that’s why they kept jumping at the touch of their brothers/sisters. On Tuesday the kits will be five weeks old, and when they are eight weeks old they can go to a forever home!! (Earliest sell date: January 11, 2022)

Ok, I have a question for everyone who looks at this post, comment what you think.
Do you think that the two rabbits to the left are the same color?
Also, do you think that the one all the way to the left is more of a brownish color compared to the one in the middle?
I would love to see what everyone thinks.

This was on November 10, six days later(Nov. 16) she had her babies. In this video she is gathering hay in her mouth and throwing her head back to get as much hay in her mouth as possible. She then takes it to the top part of her hutch (rabbit cage) and puts it in the box. She rearranged it to make a nest shape. Hours before she had her babies she pulled fur from her belly to complete the nest.

When the kits were about three and half weeks old I took the wooden box (nesting box - where baby’s were born) out of the hutch. They had their eyes open and were starting climb out of the box. I filled the bottom of the area where the box was with hay so they could eat it, nest in it.

So these were the kits when they were almost a week old. They were still blind and deaf but you could start seeing what colors there fur was gonna be! Two ended up being the color of my buck, two were black like my Doe, and the last one was an unexpected color, it turned out to be a dark brown color like chocolate.

When I came home from school on the day they were born the top picture is what I saw. The kits were hairless, blind, and deaf. Now they can see, hear and have bountiful amounts of fur. They’ll be ready to pick up and go to a forever home on January 11.

Hello my name is Mabri, I am 14 years old and have just recently moved to Merango, Ohio. A little under a year ago I met my friends new Netherland Dwarf Rabbit, I fell in love immediately and as soon as I got home I started researching. We were in the process of looking at bigger lots of land and to sell our newly remodeled house. After we moved into our house in Marengo, I started looking for breeders. I had an idea in the back of my mind, what if I was the breeder? That idea sparked many others and I eventually convinced my parents to let me get a Doe (female rabbit) and a Buck (male rabbit) for breeding. In the middle of April, I went to visit some potential candidates for my Doe. When I came, there were five black p**f balls looking at me. I ended up holding all of them and one started licking me. At the beginning of June I went to the breeder to pick up my Doe, I named her Zucci. Zucci is the black bunny in the pictures below. About a month later I went back to the same breeder and picked up my Buck, I named him Ginco. Ginco is the chestnut colored bunny in the pictures below. Four months after getting them I bred them. It took me two try’s to get it but on November 16 I came home from school to find five healthy kits (baby rabbits). Tomorrow the kits will be four weeks old.
