Parents!!!

Please note, the gator and the mower are not toys. They should not be used to amuse your kid. We’ve had to replace batteries in both because kids were allowed to climb on them and turn the key and it was left on. And now we have to replace the mower battery again because it happened again.

Please please keep kids off the equipment

Boarders!

Came in this morning to the fence ripped down around the mare and gelding’s field. It was supposed to be a mild day and horses were supposed to go back out…but here we are. They were all brought in and will be left in until it is fixed. I did not have time to clean all the stalls this morning because I have to take horses to OSU. All of the boarded horses are in clean stalls, but maybe not their own stall. So if you can’t find your horse just look around. Fence will be fixed this afternoon.

Special congratulations though to;

Claire and Carter for their champion in the low children’s/adult. And their first place in the hunter derby!

Clara and Widget for their champion in the cross rails eq!

Jaden and Widget for their champion in the Short stirrup/limit adult and their third in the OHJA medal!

Ashton and Bourbon for their champion in the Hopeful Jumper and reserve champion In the Intermediate childrens/adult jumper!

Chase and Ducky who got champion in the intermediate childrens/adult jumpers!

Lexi and Ducky for their reserve champion in the bridle path hack (fun fact Lexi is a friend of CMH, had never ridden Ducky and gave her an amazing ride!!)!

Ayelet and Cookie for their reserve champion in the cross rails 12 and under!

Emily and Zoey for their win in the OHJA medal, qualifying them for medal finals!!

Maeve and Jasper for a fourth in the cross rails classic!

And Brielle and Ducky for their fifth in the OHJA medal and big congrats to Brielle for qualifying for finals! (More fun facts Brielle had only ridden Ducky once before Friday )

This was a good show. Not only because we did well, but I saw so much growth with all my riders!

And a special shout out to Theo, who came to his last show as a tribute to his owner Sarah. She would have loved to see his last horrah and been so happy he had so much fun. k

A barn cat went missing yesterday and we found him inside a tack trunk today. Please make sure there’s no cats in your trunk before closing them.

Hey everyone! I try to keep things casual and not have too many formal “rules”. But sometimes they’re necessary

So new rules!

1) If you’re not on your own horse you may only walk/trot on the trails. If I am with you, or the owner of the horse gives you explicit permission you may canter.

2) When riding on the track you may go no faster than a VERY controlled hand gallop. I’d prefer you to stick to w/t/c

3) If you have a horse in the wash stall you MUST close the gate behind you. The way it’s set up it is far too easy for the horses to back out. When they back out, my cross ties, the horse’s halter, or the horse gets broken. If I catch ANYONE with ANY HORSE (yes even if it’s Chase with Widget) in the wash stall with the gate open, that person will have to hose off holding their horse behind the barn.

Thanks for understanding I prioritize safety of my horses and humans first!
