It’s time for another lesson horse shoutout, featuring the wonderful Dirty Vital Signs AKA Diesel.

Owned by County Line Farm, this multitalented gelding can go from seasoned lesson pony to breed show blue ribbon winner on demand. He is currently being used to teach riders of all levels how to ride western pleasure horses.

Diesel is currently AVAILABLE for an in-house lease or shareboard and would be a fantastic partner for someone looking to dip their toe into the show world. For more information about leasing or shareboarding him, send us a message!

The next lesson horse we would like to shout out is the wonderful Final Guarantee, AKA Ginny!

Ginny is proudly owned by Patti Bohmann and is used regularly in both adult and youth lessons. This multi-talented mare is often leased out for both breed and open shows. She is a true staple in our lesson program, teaching riders of all ages and levels how to ride western pleasure horses.

Required Sensation “Carson” is a 2022 APHA sorrel gelding by Required Invitation out of a Zippos Sensation mare. He is 15.3hh and still growing. I bought him as a yearling last summer, started him this spring and put about 60 days on him, hauled him to a couple of shows, and then turned him out and he lived outside all summer to grow. I brought him back into training after Labor Day. He’s easy, soft, super sweet, quiet and DIY friendly but he doesn’t love clippers 🙃 he’s been on the back burner because I’m super busy. This is my personal horse and I’m only selling him because I don’t have the time he deserves. He’s going to be a super cool all arounder when he’s finished and will be easy to finish. He’s got a super solid foundation on him. He’s very uncomplicated, simple, and wants to please. Located in Marengo, IL 💲low 5 figures

I am ISO a horse for one of my 4-H kids to have at her own farm at home to ride, show a little, and trail ride. Doesn’t need to be fancy - quiet and sound are most important. Not partial to a specific breed or color and mares and geldings are fine. Ideally 15yo or younger, light maintenance is fine but nothing major. Budget is 5k or lower, and I will be personally riding whatever she’s looking at so the closer to Marengo IL the better! Feel free to PM me or text me if you have something in mind. 815-354-3488.

On this weeks #CLFTrainerTips, we are discussing hoof care and how to know if your horse needs shoes or not.

This week we caught up with one of our amazing farriers, Jamie. She is working on making some much needed corrections to one of the newer horses we have in for training, Cheeto! He came to us with unbalanced feet and with a pretty big quarter crack. We are super excited to see what Jamie can do for him and we will make sure to keep you updated on his journey!

A LUXURIOUS NIGHT OUT “Lou” is a 2019 APHA roan gelding by Awesome All Night. He’s 15’1hh and has had one owner since he was a weanling. He’s been owned and trained primarily by an amateur with some professional training as well. He has been shown lightly and used in some lessons with his owner. He’s also been down trails with his owner and goes through water. He would be appropriate for a DIY amateur or an older, experienced youth. He is currently not in a program - video taken today after not being ridden for a month. Would make a nice lesson horse. Owner is looking for a quick, easy sale as she needs him sold ASAP due to no fault of his own.
