Amari Clemons is proving that big D1 coaches know where to find talent. This week, he’s had visits from UF, South Carolina, and FSU. Today, he had the incredible opportunity to meet with none other than Florida State University’s head football coach, Mike Norvell! Coach Norvell visited to personally connect with Amari, recognizing his hard work, talent, and potential on and off the field.

Even more exciting, Amari has been invited to attend FSU’s exclusive Junior Day this Saturday—a prestigious event for some of the nation’s top football prospects. 🏈

We’re so proud of Amari and all he’s accomplished so far. Keep shining, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes you! 💜💛

Mason Mobley Lead Marianna Varsity Bulldogs Past Walton

A strong performance from Mason Mobley, helped Marianna Varsity Bulldogs defeat Walton, 50-41, on Thursday. Mobley scored 18 points to lead the way for Marianna Varsity Bulldogs.

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs never trailed in the game. Their biggest lead was by 21 points at .

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs had a strong first half, leading 20-11 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory. Leading 32-20, Marianna Varsity Bulldogs went on an 11-2 run to pull further away. Trailing 43-22, Walton went on a 10-point run to close the gap.

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs had four assists in the first quarter, as they outscored Walton 13-6.

Nykavian Bradley and Mobley each hit multiple three-pointers for Marianna Varsity Bulldogs. The team shot 5-14 (36%) from beyond the arc. Marianna Varsity Bulldogs rebounded the ball well, collecting 33 rebounds. Ja’cobi Hall led the team with 11 rebounds. Marianna Varsity Bulldogs passed the ball well with 13 assists on 20 made baskets. RJ Mayes led the team with five assists. Kenyon Holden (10 points), Bradley (8 points), Hall (6 points), Jacobi Killings (5 points), and Lorenzo Barnes (3 points) also pitched in for Marianna Varsity Bulldogs.

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs will travel to Rutherford for their next game on Tuesday.

Strong Performances Lead Marianna Varsity Bulldogs Past Bay High

Mason Mobley scored 21 points and Ja’cobi Hall had a big game as Marianna Varsity Bulldogs defeated Bay High, 66-58, on Tuesday. Hall scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Mobley scored 21 points to lead Marianna Varsity Bulldogs.

Trailing 7-6, Marianna Varsity Bulldogs went on a 12-1 run to take the lead. Trailing 41-20, Bay High went on a 14-point run to close the gap. Marianna Varsity Bulldogs got out to a 41-25 lead at halftime before closing out the victory.

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs had nine assists in the second quarter, as they outscored Bay High 23-13.

Marianna Varsity Bulldogs had a great day shooting from inside the arc, finishing 21-37 on twos. RJ Mayes made eight of 10 free throws, and Marianna Varsity Bulldogs attempted 18. Marianna Varsity Bulldogs controlled the paint, grabbing 36 rebounds. Hall led the team with 11 rebounds. Mobley knocked down three shots from beyond the arc for Marianna Varsity Bulldogs. Marianna Varsity Bulldogs passed the ball well with 14 assists on 25 made baskets. Nykavian Bradley (18 points), Mayes (15 points), Hall (10 points), and Jordan Broxton (2 points) helped out Marianna Varsity Bulldogs as well.

Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs fell to Bay, 79-71, in a back-and-forth game on Tuesday. There were seven lead changes in the game.

J Curry scored 29 points for Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs in the loss.

Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs had a promising first half, taking a 31-27 lead into halftime, but couldn't hold on for the victory. Trailing 35-33, Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs went on a 14-2 run to take the lead. Trailing 51-46, Bay went on a 12-point run to take the lead.

J Spears poured in 11 points in the second quarter as Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs outscored Bay 24-13.

Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs had a great day shooting from inside the arc, finishing 24-48 on twos. Curry made six of 13 free throws, and Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs attempted 20. Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs rebounded the ball well, collecting 26 rebounds. Curry led the team with nine rebounds. Spears knocked down two shots from beyond the arc for Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs. Marianna Junior Varsity Bulldogs passed the ball well with 13 assists on 28 made baskets.
