Wilson is an old guy. He is like grooming a sedated cat because he is so chill. Unfortunately, his thin old skin and skinny body makes his grooming a dangerous job. I'm pretty sure he's the calmest cat I've ever known. Love me some Wilson!
Tuesday my arm was tore up by two full grown dogs who'd never been groomed. Today, I had the pleasure of giving these two guys their first grooming. A first good experience at a young age will lead your new puppy to a lifetime of calm and easy haircuts. I can't express enough how important that first fff is, feet face Fanny and fluffy! Especially with the larger breeds, they are so much easier to handle when they are smaller and more malleable. If you are wondering ken and Sammy's breed? They are cockachons!
Apparently this guy needs to be sedated to do anything at the vet. They didn't think it would be possible to get him groomed. I muzzled him the first time but I guess he realized I wasn't so scary. This was the 4 th time I've groomed him. No muzzle after the first time and he does get a bit touchy about his tail. We're working on that. He's an exit only type of guy and I totally get that. Maybe why he's a land shark at the vet. Here he is, patiently waiting his turn, while I work on his brother. ❤️Leo.

Mr Porter. Played hide and seek making dad look all over the house for his last spa day of the year. Safe travels bud! See ya next year 😄
Dudley .
The first time I met him when I touched his feet he went full jaws. I muzzled him but he freaked out so bad trying to pull it off that he ripped out his dewclaws on both front paws . We had to come to an agreement. I would not muzzle him if he would not bite me. It started with a few little snips and graduated into more. It's been a few years now. I discovered if the blow dryer is on he will let me do stuff. He is still a bit edgy but he's come so far . I'm proud of this guy ❤️
