Those ears though! Oreo and Raspberry were abandoned, but luckily, they're now getting the royal treatment from their amazing foster. From malnourished to mischievous, these two are blossoming into playful pups! Estimated to be eight weeks old, they'll be stealing hearts and looking for forever homes soon!

We’d like to give an update on our newest resident. We wanted to make sure we had all the info before sharing what we know. He was able to be seen by a vet in Chandler. He had 2 x-ray views to check his back legs and abdomen. Luckily there doesn’t appear to be anything broken, but the x-ray did show some type of mass around his stomach area. He started antibiotics and also received an antibiotic shot for the wound in his neck and a URI. He also received wound care and draining of the infection plus is he FIV/FELV negative which we were surprised! He seems to be making great progress and is still eating and drinking normally. Unfortunately due to his age being estimated around 14-15 years old and the mass in the abdomen we have decided to provide palliative care for him and spoil him. We always take quality of life as a priority and for now he’s doing amazing. When that time comes that he is suffering in any way we will make that hard decision. He went from the streets to fuzzy blankets and is absolutely loving it! Baby face will be out of quarantine once his infection is cleared.

🚨 Donations needed! 🚨 A distressed feral cat was brought to our attention today. Trapping and assessment revealed critical health concerns: cauliflower ears, a leg injury, and an infected neck wound with a very foul smell. Fortunately, he is comfortable with human interaction. He definitely doesn’t belong on the streets. To treat his conditions, specialized care, including wound management and possible X-rays, is essential. Your support is crucial to his recovery.

Can you provide a stable and peaceful home for Felix, a shy yet deeply loving boy who has experienced significant difficulties in his life? Felix requires a tranquil environment to overcome his reserve and thrive. Felix was previously adopted and was thriving but unfortunately had to be returned due to a member in the home developing allergies. Felix is 3 years old.

Look who’s ready for adoption! These two have been raised in the rescue since bottle babies.

Clemon (White kitty) is a 10 week old male. A bit shy at first but acclimates very quickly and loves to play!

Fuzz Ball (brown kitty) is a 9 week old female. Super outgoing and has a great personality! She does require another playful kitty in the home.

Meet Puddy Muddles! Puddy is currently in the rescues care while he waits for his forever home. He has quite the sad story. A few months ago he was found tied to a pole behind Maricopa high school on a 115 degree day. He was matted to his skin and beyond malnourished. Since he’s been in the rescue he has been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Here’s the tricky part about Puddy. Because of his trauma he has possession issues. He bonds to people immediately and just wants to be a lap dog but he also feels that he needs to protect his person from other animals. He doesn’t mind cats at all it’s mainly other dogs. He will get growly and bark them back. He’s also very protective over his food bowls. Since this behavior is present we suggest Puddy being an only dog or an owner who has experience with prior trauma for a pup.

Puddy is estimated to be around 3 years old he is a chocolate cocker spaniel. His adoption fee is $150

Today marks 365 days that Quimby has been in the rescue! He does terrible at events due to being kenneled but is a total sweet heart!

Graham cracker is now the last of his litter who needs a home! 💙 If ya can’t tell by his video he is an absolute HAM! His purrr motor never turns off and he loves his belly rubs. He is 10 weeks old

Kitty adoptions!

Wash Kitty 💙

This is the mama we rescued yesterday with her babies from the wash. She has definitely calmed down and is allowing pets and treats! We did notice today she has some wounds on her head and her belly. Thankfully she’s allowing treatment!

Stop dumping animals!

🐾 UPDATE! After a very long 24+ hours all 5 babies and mama are safe! It definitely takes a village. Thank you Brandy Johnson for the help and finding them! 🐾 We are out here at 10pm at night rescuing a mom and her babies who were dumped! Why do people have to be so rotten!

Sewer Kitty 💙

For the past 3 days a Maricopa resident has called FD/PD, non emergency and animal control who all told him they couldn’t help.He was dropping food down for the cat and even tried a basket and string. He reached out us and of course we had to help. Sewer kitty is now safe and warm!

Lola!

Meet Lola! Lola is a 3.5 month old pup who’s ready for a furever home! She’s extremely smart and well mannered. She gets along great with the other animals in her foster home. Her guessed breed is a German wirehaired pointer/lab.

Candy and Skittles

We have lowered the adoption fee for Candy and Skittles in hopes of getting them into a home! They have now grown up in the rescue. They came to us at 8 weeks old and they’re now 7 months old. To adopt both girls the adoption fee is now $50 🐾

Update on Milo! Milo came to LWAR on 2/9/23 completely paralyzed. After seeing 3 different vets plus scans/blood work etc they still couldn’t figure out why. So this past month we’ve been doing daily therapy/ rehab with steroids and look at him now! He’s fully walking! Still a little wobbly but that may be a forever thing. Way to go Milo! 🎉

This poor guy came to my driveway limping and crying 😞 He appears to have a injured leg and many battle wounds. And he’s actually very sweet and hungry! Of course we took him in! Her right foot is connected to her hip and her left left is a straight bone with no bending joints 😿 Starting therapy and treatments young can make a huge difference!
