Happy Monday! We are posting to let you know of our holiday closures this week.
We will be closing at noon on Wednesday, November 23rd and will be closed on Thursday, November 24th AND Friday, November 25th.
Regular office hours will resume on Monday, November 28th.
If you need medications or have questions, please call us sooner rather than later!

Good morning!
We would like to make an announcement.

Recently we had a person come to us to purchase a rabies license for their pet, as that is a service we provide for the county as a courtesy for you. This person was unable to provide a certificate of spay/neuter, as this would have saved them money on a license. After attempting to retrieve such certificate from their previous veterinarian, we were sent documentation describing a different pet. The owner became irate with us.
We share this with you to remind you all that we are more than happy to continue this service of licensure through the county of Pinal, however we require the proper documentation be provided by the owner in order for us to issue a rabies license. The county will not approve rabies licenses issued with improper documentation.

Hello, all! We hope everyone’s week has gone as swimmingly as ours! We passed our AAHA Accreditation evaluation this week! We have been AAHA Accredited for the last 13 years and are exceedingly proud of it. Setting our standards as high as we can, we are so ecstatic to share our accreditation status with you all!
We want to thank you for all your continued support and loyalty to this hospital. You make us strive to be our best.

Also, we will be closed on Wednesday 11/9 as Dr. V has an all day meeting to attend.

Happy Fr-EYE-day!
These handsome boys are very unique in that they are all missing their right eyes!
Everyone say hi to Ricky, MarsBar, and Pirate!
Ricky and MarsBar lost their eyes to the feline herpes virus as very young kittens. Pirate was a tiny baby stray who had some unknown trauma to his eye. 🥺
Although hardship has befallen these sweet kitties at such young ages, they have become the happiest, most joyous cats around!
What is even better is that we know they are in loving homes because Ricky’s family is fantastic, and MarsBar and Pirate belong to our very own Dr. V and Kaytlyn!

We had the privilege of neutering the best Sphinx kitten yesterday! This is Khajiit. His crazy stretches and perfect toe beans are our favorite! Not to mention his sweet temperament and endless warm cuddles! Everyone say hi and wish him a quick recovery!
We always recommend spaying and neutering your animals if you do not intend to breed them. If you would like a quote, give us a call!

Update:
Dr. V is doing a little better today. Still has a low grade fever and her hand is still very swollen. She told us she has sausage fingers but is learning how to do her daily activities one-handed. She is greatly appreciative of everyone who has wished her well and is doing her best to get better.

You are all truly amazing and we cherish each and every one of you who have kept her in your thoughts. It’s very heartwarming to know that the people who rely on us for our care and compassion can turn around and show us just the same in our time of need. 🥰

So Dr. V is not doing as well as we had hoped. She has a fever and she is unable to move her hand. It has also swollen up A LOT. Her doctor told her that it is going to get worse before it gets getter but today has been a very hard day for her. Reluctantly, we are cancelling all exam appointments for tomorrow. It is in her best interest, though.
We will still be seeing technician appointments and taking phone calls if you need us! We greatly appreciate all of your support and kindness during this tough time. ❤️

Update:
Dr. V is doing okay so far. It wasn’t as bad as we thought in the heat of the moment. She received one stitch in her wrist and they treated the rest of her wounds on her hand and arm. They also put her on antibiotics and pain medication. She’s resting today and hopes to be doing better for tomorrow’s appointments. She is running a bit of a fever, though, and is still shaky. We will keep you all updated as best we can. Thank you again for all your patience and understanding and well wishes for our favorite veterinarian! ❤️

Unfortunately, Dr. V got bit pretty badly by a dog today so we have to cancel all exam appointments for tomorrow and quite possibly Friday as well. We sincerely apologize for this, as we know how important your pets are to you all. They are important to us, but without Dr. V we wouldn’t have anyone to take care of our fur babies! Please send her all your well wishes! We will keep you all updated as we know more about her recovery.

Brianna is an 18 year old intern of ours. She is currently studying at the University of Arizona majoring in Veterinary Science. She graduates in 2025 and then it’s on to vet school! She would like to go to Midwestern and she’s trying her hardest to get there. Her hobbies include working out and playing with her 3 dogs and cat! Oh and loving on our clinic cat, JC!
