Please ignore the pajamas 😂🤷🏻♀️ but guys! Meet Bonnie!!!! I am so excited to work with this little pup. She is a new service dog prospect who will be mostly owner trained but will be in consistent training sessions and boardings. This girl is absolutely the sweetest little bean. (I call her Bonbon, Bons, or sometimes Bonster (her parents gave her that nickname too. How freaking cute 🥰)) She is excelling under and is on the right path to become the best service dog for her mom. I am so grateful they reached out to me and allowed me to help pick them the perfect pup from the breeder they had chosen and to be helping them on this exciting (but also slightly challenging) journey. We worked on her sit, down, and lure. As you can see, every little thing she did right, I made sure to make it fun and exciting! This is going to help her have so much drive as she ages. I keep my sessions very short with young pups just to ensure they are engaged and having fun!

Look at our little puppies! Our program dogs Elliot and River, are growing so fast! They went on a short outing to the pet store and then sat outside of the grocery store to get used to different sounds/people. I am very excited for their handlers. (Also thank you Kathlien for being my training assistant! It takes a whole village to work with service dogs, and I am so grateful to have her helping me!!!)
If you are looking for service dog training for your puppy or dog, please feel free to reach out via email [email protected]
We would love to help train your dog to hopefully give you some independence and comfort while you have to battle chronic illness.
We have been busy bees over here at TFCA!!! How cute is Jerry in his Halloween costume?!

Did you know it costs absolutely nothing to support a small business?! As a disabled, female business owner, your referrals, reviews and engagement mean the absolute world to me! And they help bring others to TFCA! We are so grateful to your reviews, and it is so easy! I love to read how we have made a difference. ❤️❤️
To add to our excitement- this past weekend, I took Penny back to her owners, and her handler Autumn. We had been on the fence with continuing to use her for service work due to her lack of drive. Penny had stayed with me for 2 weeks, working on the drive and working on scents. I am SO excited for this pair. Penny alerted not once but twice to two separate seizures on Saturday. She gave Autumn a 20 minute warning. It was incredible to see Penny understand and warn her handler. I am so excited for this pup, and so excited for her future.
What a crazy, but exciting weekend for ! I am so excited for our newest client, Isabella, on her new prospect River. He is such a special puppy, and I have full faith that he will be perfect for her. We met his litter today and out of everyone, he was the best temperament(plus he obviously loved his new mom immensely). There is a lot to be taught and a lot to be learned, Mr. River has a big job to fill one day, but today is the start of their journey as a team. I am so grateful to be part of it and am so excited for this pair to grow together. We can’t wait to see you grow and excel, River!

The best way to start off any training session is with a pup up from

- pictured is Elliot, Penny and .moore ‘s pup, Charlie. The dogs have big jobs to do one day, and they are all blowing me away with their progress. ❤️❤️❤️
Did you know that all of your training must be understood inside a neutral environment, like your home, or a place the dog is used to going? This allows us to teach the dog the fundamentals before expecting them to act that way in different environments. Once the training is mastered at home, we will then begin in the back yard, and then move to parks or pet stores. Here is our client, sweet Riggins, learning how to heal, and “check-in” with his parents while walking on a leash. We are not expecting him to be perfect, but we do not want him to drag us around. The more we do quick movements, and the more eye contact we reward, he will eventually understand that this behavior gives him yummy treats. We MUST be more interesting and interactive with our dogs on walks. This teaches our dogs that even though it’s fun and exciting to be out and about, the person holding their leash is really the fun one.

Hi everyone! We have had alot of new followers recently and I am so grateful for each and every one of you. I am here to answer any questions you may have, but please only serious inquiries. I am trying to balance everything, and have revived a lot of messages regarding service dog training and possibly placing Elliot, I am going through and answering everyone, but most of my responses get ignored. I can’t give out training advice without enrollment in my program, as I do not know your dog and do not know the best way to assist with training. As far as service dog placements, Elliot is still available, and there will be a application process. He is NOT for pet placement, and will have 2 years of consistent work and training invested in him. He is thriving now, and will be able to provide someone with a disability an immense amount of freedom and safety.
Thank you guys!
Did you know offers boarding too?
Our boarding style is very unique to other companies. We only board one household dog(s) at a time. This creates a safe and healthy environment. You never have to worry about your dough catching an illness or learning bad behavior like they could at a standard kennel. All of our boarding is done in our personal home, which allows the dog to stay in a comfortable, quiet, environment. They stay on their usual schedules and are always supervised. If they are not able to be supervised they will go into crates for safety, but it is not often they are crated. They are very loved and spoiled while they are under our care. There are 3 resident dogs that can play, with your pup, or if your dog is not a fan of other dogs, we ensure separation to avoid any conflict or stress. All the dogs are taken on multiple walks and have access to a huge toy basket. Also, we constantly send updates and pictures for you to have a peace of mind. If you need someone to watch your pup, we would be more than happy to.

We are so appreciative of the love and support while we grow TFCA. If you have a moment to share our page and give us a review on Facebook, it will really help our growth and outreach in the community.
Doug and Aspen are such happy, fun and energetic goldens. They have been with TFCA for a bit, as we have been working through some obedience. They have grown into such lovely dogs, and I am so incredibly proud of them! ❤️❤️
Check out these handsome boys! 💛
Jerry and Nova are the sweetest boys! We are working on their basic obedience, and recall. I can’t wait to see how they progress.
Meet Elliot! He is an English Black Lab puppy that will be in training to become a future - His parents had been extensively health tested, and has the absolute perfect personality to succeed in service work. He is a kind, and gentle soul, who will become a big boy. I am so excited to have such a lovely pup join my program. He will be placed with an individual to help them with their disability. At TFCA every service dog is personally trained directly for that person to assist in every aspect of their life. -

You guys, I can’t thank you enough for recommending my business, Total Focus Canine Academy to your friends and across Facebook. My heart is so full knowing that you are happy with your training, and in turn, your pups are happy too. Last night, my client Kathlien Moore came over with her pup Charlie. Charlie was literally making all sorts of noises because she was SO happy to see me. She used to be super anxious and wary around people, and now she has grown to love her training sessions and me. I am so blessed to be able to feel the love from each and every one of your dogs. I truly love them too. ❤️❤️ Recommending me, and reviews helps me find new clients, which then I can help their dogs. ❤️❤️
Milo was incredibly happy to be working on his place work tonight. ❤️ He is such a happy go lucky pup who just needs to learn a bit of ✨self control ✨(but honestly Milo, a lot of us need help in that department too.)

Had such a lovely afternoon with ._bentley_the_boxer and his sister Miya! Welcome to her TFCA family, I am absolutely in love with these goofy pups.
Current(and future) clients!! I have some EXTREMELY exciting news! TFCA is officially working with a company called JUNO- they make all sorts of travel necessities for dogs! And guess what?! Because you guys are part of Total Focus, you will receive a FREE Doggy Dash Pack to help you with your training! The doggy dash pack is a REALLY nice treat pouch, that can also hold your phone, p**p bags and more! I will be receiving a shipment soon and will be putting our TFCA Logo on it. This will be perfect for simple training sessions, or even walks/adventures with your pups.
What a fun time for the pups!! Charlie, Kathlien Moore ‘s Service Dog In Training came over to work on some recall, hind end awareness and begin retrieval tasks! I am so unbelievably proud of how far Charlie has come with her training under TFCA, she has grown into such a confident pup. Her mom has worked so hard to complete her “homework” to help ensure the session is continued and each task trained is practiced to perfection. ❤️❤️
(Also, Penny and Charlie are literally BFFs.)

Look at how amazing our little program pup Flynn is doing with his person. 🥹 Flynn is owned by TFCA but has been paired with Isabella to one day help her with her chronic conditions. These two are perfect for each other, and I truly have loved watching them connect for the first time. Flynn is still young, and will continue to be trained under our program, but once he is fully trained he will go live with his handler and help her gain some independence and sense of security. They have such a bright future. ☀️❤️

Elliot is blowing me away with how quick he learns. We have a very solid lure. He is such a fun one to work with and is quickly getting very good at giving the eye contact. He is such a special boy.
